Three of Hearts by W. Ferraro

Erm, wow. This book is hot, very hot, but also very sweet. It had me hooked from the word go and I can I just say I am actually in love with the cover! This is book 1 of the Hamden series and if the first one is anything to go by, I’ll be in haven by the end of the series! Ferraro is an amazing writer who literally has you hooked from the word go! I can’t remember the last book I read where the male lead annoyed me so much but also made me swoon so bad. But we will get to that bit.

This book follows Mae (or sweet Mae as she is affectionately known) and her new life. One of the nicest parts of this book is that Mae is just Mae. She is independent, doesn’t come with a suitcase full of baggage, she’s just her. And she is amazing! It all starts with a viewing of the most beautiful apartment she had ever seen, miraculously she can afford it and the fact that the owner happens to be drop dead gorgeous is just an added bonus! Seth is…*Sigh* an amazing man. Not only is he bringing up 3 wonderful children and running his own company, he’s also harbouring a lot of heart ache. And that’s part of what makes this book so special. It wasn’t about replacing something lost, it was about finding a new path and it was so beautifully written. But..and there is a BIG but here…. There are times were I actually wanted to crawl into the book and slap Seth for being such an ass. But he definitely made up for it on more than one occasion by being such a sweetheart so I kind of forgive him.

This is one not to miss 100%. It’s romantic; it’s suspenseful and so hot. I’m thoroughly looking forward to more from this amazing writer!!

2) Three of Spades by W. Ferraro

Oh wow.. I think I just fell in love. Ferraro certainly knows how to turn your world upside down a bit!

This book follows the amazing characters Natalie and Dylan. Dylan, the male lead we briefly met in the previous book Three of Hearts. I’m so glad he got his own book because this was such a good read! Natalie’s life is described by her mother as dull and boring. And it’s oh so true. Natalie spends her days working and caring for her terminally ill mother. Something she doesn’t and has never considered a Burdon. Her mother is such a sweet character I personally loved her! But she’s worried that her daughter spends too much time looking after her and not worrying about herself. That’s why she suggests that Natalie go out and get a life and put’s her in a residential care home to do so. Natalie is horrified at this idea to say the least and this is where Dylan comes in ;) Dylan is the definition of a ladies’ man and when Natalie LITERALLY walks straight into him, she decides he is the person she’s been looking for. Not to settle down and marry….Oh no, to show her the way around a bed room. But she has a condition, He has to pretend to be her boyfriend to her amazing mother. This may seem like a strange thing to ask of someone you’ve LITERALLY only just met, but for Natalie it’s her only choice.

There was no messing around in this book. Ferraro got straight to the point and my god it was amazing (And way hotter than the first book), it’s just so well written. The plot line is original and it is adorable to watch the lines blurring between these wonderful characters! The fact Seth and Mae, the characters from book 1, popped up make me so happy. This book has been one of my highlights for 2013! I’m so looking forward to reading book three <3

3: Three of Diamonds by W. Ferraro

Ok you remember when you picked up 50 shades for the first time and thought, oh this looks good!! So you sit on the tube reading it and your steadily thinking, “Oh my god, I can’t read this in public!”. This is how Three of Diamonds had me and I LOVED it! I was happily sat in the hair dressers reading away and generally loving life when it hit me. That’s the best part of this book. It gets into it STRAIGHT away. No messing or digging around, Ferraro throws you right on in the deep end.

This book follows Miss Lola when an accidental job offer lands her in a very strange situation! (I’ll leave you to discover that bit yourself… amazing). And this is possibly the strangest job in the world. The more Lola discovers about her new place of work the less she starts to enjoy it. What she did enjoy however was the view of a sex god named, Wes. Wes sort of reminds me of a more lovable Christian Grey, the second he saw Lola she became like an obsession with him and that was incredibly cute. Especially as Lola honestly wants nothing to do with him! Lola has too much going on in her own world to be worrying about sex gods, namely her little brother Boyd. Cutest character ever and really is the glue of this book. Boyd has Downs and because of this Lola is heavily into volunteering at his local children’s centre. And this is really how Lola and Wes meet in real life, start to bond, fall in love and have the hottest sex ever!!

I won’t spoil anything else for you but I really loved the fact you got to see a little of the other characters from the previous 2 books. It was a lovely ending to a prefect series. Ferraro is such an amazing writer you would be a fool to miss the conclusion to this amazing series. Secretly hoping there is more.
