I HEART BOOKS REVIEW

Find your kryptonite this Christmas, Brody did!

OMG what an awesome Christmas story!! A great happy ever after story that will tug at your heart strings, have you laughing out loud, wanting to strangle the characters when they just won't open up, and of course wanting to kick the bad guy in the balls! Also if you have young kids you will fall in love with Corbin and be able to relate to all of his favorite shows! And now a bit about the story...

Callie has lost almost everyone close to her. All she has left is her grandmother who took over raising her when her mother died and her aunt who isn't that much older. She has survived though, she got her cosmetology license and is supporting herself. They when she finds out she has accidentally gotten pregnant by her on again off again boyfriend her whole world turns upside down. Trying to escape his lying and cheating ways she decides to visit her Aunt Ella for Christmas where she gets the 2nd best present ever!

Favorite passages:
- “Oh, he has the face of an angel, but don’t underestimate him. He hides his little devil horns well.”
- I love a girl with a little meat on her bones. Who wants to snuggle up with a skeleton?”
- “I’m so sorry, Brody. I won’t bullshit you and feed you a line about how it will get easier, because I know it won’t. You don’t get over losing someone you love. You just learn to live through the pain every day as you try to have some kind of normalcy in your life.”
- If she doesn’t keep her distance, then I’m screwed, because there is one thing I know for certain, and that is Callie is to me what Kryptonite is to Superman: the one thing that can destroy me.
- Goodbye, 2014. You’ve been a real kick in my lady balls; I definitely will not miss you. Hello, 2015, the year of success and new adventures.
- “You sat around this fucking place moping like a damn child for the last six days. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re having your goddam man-period right now.”
- “The unknown terrifies me, but you’re worth it.”
