About BUILT: From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men books comes an electrifying new spin-off series,Saints of Denver, featuring all the characters fans have been dying to read about. Sayer Cole and Zeb Fuller couldn’t be more different. She’s country club and fine-dining, he’s cell-block and sawdust. Sayer spends her days in litigation, while Zeb spends his working with his hands. She’s French silk, he’s all denim and flannel. Zeb’s wanted the stunning blonde since the moment he laid eyes on her. It doesn't matter how many smooth moves he makes, the reserved lawyer seems determinedly oblivious to his interest—either that or she doesn't return it. Sayer is certain the rough, hard, hot-as-hell Zeb could never want someone as closed off and restrained as she is, which is a shame because something tells her he might be the guy to finally melt her icy exterior. But just as things start to heat up, Zeb is blindsided by a life altering moment from his past. He needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. He can’t risk what’s at stake just because his attraction to Sayer feels all consuming. But as these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, battling together to save a family, the steam created when fire and ice collide can no longer be ignored.

Excerpt

                It was late.
                I was really tired.
I had a full day at work tomorrow and I needed to be up early enough so I could swing by the gym before I went into my office.
I had also agreed to have drinks with a fellow attorney after my final court appearance of the day. It was a semidate I had already rescheduled twice, so I couldn’t reasonably back out again without looking like a complete jerk. Doing any of that on a few hours of sleep was less than ideal, but I was getting used to running on fumes lately. I, too, was having dreams that woke me up in the middle of the night, that left me shaken, heated, and too wound up to stay in bed.
Only my dreams weren’t terror inducing—they were good. Oh, so fucking good. They were better than good. They were the best dreams I had ever had. Hell, the dreams were better than any kind of actual sexual experience I had ever had while wide-awake. They were the kind of dreams that had me jerking up from a dead sleep while I panted and sweated. I woke up twisting in my sheets and touching myself because the man that starred in each and every single one of them was nowhere around.
Control was everything to me, and Zeb Fuller made me want to lose it even when he was sound asleep in his own bed all the way across Denver.

He can fix almost anything...

OMG I fell in love with the Marked Men last spring, I had pre-ordered Built in April! Jay doesn't disappoint, not one bit! This story picks up after the remodel of her Victorian is complete. Zeb is the perfect combination of sexy, growly, protective, and hard working to match up or contrast with Sayer. She is cool, calm, collected (some times too much) and very professional. And now a bit about the story...

Zeb and Sayer have had undeniable chemistry from the beginning. However there always seems to be something in the way. When Zeb asks her to help him with a legal matter her walls start to quickly rebuild, but Zeb is persistent. When she finally admits he feelings will reality match the fantasy Sayer has built? Will Zeb convince her to take a chance on him?

Favorite passages:
- He grinned at mе bеfore putting the glass up to his lips and I wantеd to have a serious talk with my vagina for not even kind of taking notice or perking up.
- “Sure. She’s classy, elegant, made of sturdy stuff, expensive as hell to keep running and keep pretty. She’s only good to me if I’m good to her, so obviously she’s a girl.”

And don’t miss the previous novella in The Saints of Denver Series!

Knocked flat on his a$$...

What a great story! Many of the Marked Men make an appearance. This book hit both men hard, Lando figuratively with his protected heart and Dom physically when pushing himself too much during PT. Love and loss can do that, but this story is about overcoming the hurt and pain to move on with your life. And now a bit about the story...

Dom has always wanted to be a cop and now his injuries have him side lined. The Archers know an awesome physical therapist, Lando, and get the two connected. Only problem is the connection is there immediately. Dom doesn't want to scare off his chance to chase the bad guys. Lando doesn't want his heart broken again. They both must take risks to get what they want in the end.

Favorite passages:
- If the guy across from me was a cherry-red Ferrari, then I was a rusted-out and battered John Deere tractor in comparison.
- “I can’t live my life waiting for it not to hurt before I start existing again.”
- “In my experience as long as he treats you right and appreciates you then no man is the wrong kind of man.”
- “Most things that are easy aren’t worth much. It’s the things you have to work for that matter the most.”
- Bad stuff happens sometimes and it happens to people we care about. You can’t live life insulated because you are scared of getting too close.
