The Sleeping Serpent: A Woman's Struggle to Break an Obsessive Bond With Her Yoga Master by Luna Saint Claire and Virginia Bowen *~*~*~*~* Blog Tour & Review

Title: The Sleeping Serpent
Authors : Luna Saint Claire & Virginia Bowen

As arousing as 50 Shades, twisted as Gone Girl, and tortured as Wuthering Heights
Immensely erotic and psychologically captivating, The Sleeping Serpent is the compelling story of a woman’s obsession with a spellbinding guru and the struggle to reclaim her life. At its heart, it is a painfully beautiful exposition of unconditional love that makes us question what we truly want.

REVIEW

I HEART BOOKS REVIEW

The Sleeping Serpent: A Woman's Struggle to Break an Obsessive Bond With Her Yoga Master by Luna Saint Claire and Virginia Bowen
Review by Angela
Stars: 4

This is a fast paced, erotic stand alone. I recommend this for adults only due to very graphic sexual content. When I started this book, I was not prepared at the anger it would provoke in me. I was caught between awe and astonishment. I can understand attachment but to the extreme of these women was beyond my comprehension. I wanted to get lost in the book but unfortunately it was not something that held my attention very long.

Nico Romero is a very good-looking yoga guru. He is confident to the point of being narcissistic. In his profession he helps others, and once you are in his favor, he takes every advantage possible. His devoted followers will do anything to please him and are desperate for his approval. Nico sees his control as an obligation. All in due time he gets caught up in his own madness.

Favorite passages:
"Standing in front of the mirror, Luna's eyes remained fixed on the ballet mistress, who moved like a magical bird and had arms like the wings of an angel."
"It's quite haunting... but I love it," she remarked."
"Friends are like stars. You cannot always see them, but they are always there."
"He was part of her, like a tattoo."<3
"Though its clarity may be obscured as dust on a mirror- love is eternal."

Luna Saint Claire is a costume designer and author residing in Los Angeles with her husband, a philosophy professor. She loves blues rock and Indie music, often setting her Pandora station to Damien Rice. Her personal style can best be described as eclectic bohemian. Though she now enjoys running and yoga, she spent years of her youth in the ballet studio. Her part Native American heritage informs her work as a designer and influences her storytelling.
