I HEART BOOKS REVIEW

Salt Water Wounds (Oyster Cove #1) by Jennifer Foor
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars:  5

Another Hit!!  I LOVED IT <3

I love every J4 books book I've ever read.  She once again had me sad, laughing out loud, pissed off, tears rolling down my cheeks, and almost spitting my drunk across the room.  This story is about Buck and Perry.  Every now and then, Buck reminds me of a much more mature and wise Tyler.  He's worked hard for all he has and raised his kids tree best he could. Perry is like the sun and wind coming in to wake him up and blow the dust off.  And now a bit about the story...

Buck's struggled alone for the last 7 years after losing his wife to cancer.  He's raised his six children the best way he knew how.  But when trouble blows into town and attacks Perry, his favorite bartender, nothing is going to be the same again.  As Perry struggles to get rid of her abusive ex, Buck is determined to try and move on.  The only question is how successful can they be? Can they find happiness together or will they drown out there in the salt water they both love so much...

Favorite passages:
- I can’t be what she needs.
- “Maybe you should keep going, just to be sure I’m still familiar with every part of a woman. It has been a long time. Maybe things have changed.”
- “Now?” “Yeah now, before I lose my nerve.” “Nerve? Will this be illegal? Do I need to bring weapons?”
- “Are you sure we aren’t rushing it?” “We aren’t getting any younger. Pretty soon I’ll need Viagra and a cane.”
