Review: The Bachelor Auction

The Bachelor Auction The Bachelor Auction by J.C. Reed
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Going once... Going twice...

Quick read about a small start up, having confidence, online dating, and a pushy billionaire. You may wonder how all of those things can fit together in a novella, but they do. Story takes place in New York City and Las Vegas. Has teasing, innuendo, and electricity. And now a bit about the story...

Emily and her business partner, Brenda, bought tickets to a charity auction they can't afford. Their small business is about to go under. But it they can just land one big client it could all turn around. Emily is so embarrassed after Brenda wins her a date with billionaire Tyler. She's been dressed up like a hooker and when Tyler assumes that is what she wants she explains the mistake and leaves. She retreats home to her online buddy, LuckyLuke and explains everything. They are broke, Tyler if hot, she was embarrassed, etc. But once the weekend is over things start to improve...

Favorite passage: It’s said the quiet ones are always the freaks.
