| Alley Oop! Explosive tension right from the beginning. Strong characters that know what they want and go for it. Even putting on brave fronts when they may not feel it all the way down to their bones. I so want to be a vampire bat in the laundry matt back room to bite Preston... but anyway, back to the review... I'm sad I missed Hoops #1 and I'm going to have to go back and read it!! This was an awesome book and the crush, to friends, to one night stand, to hatred to .... wait - I can't give the end away ;) And now a bit about the story... Jared is a smart, hot, jock type - just missing the old money to have it all. So he is going to get into the secret society so he can secure his future. He has run so many errands for the silver spoon blue bloods he can taste his victory. But before he can get it, they dangle one last task. And he refuses. He backs out and says goodbye. But that isn't good enough for them... Banner is a ultra smart, proud, curvy, Latina who is going to go places in this world. Her goal is to break into a male dominated profession and she will. She is still in school, but you can tell she will be successful. Speaking English, Spanish, Italian and Russian isn't enough, so now she is working on Mandarin! Then she starts her internship, putting her crush behind her and goes out to tackle the world. Years later Jared and Banner are at the top of their fields, did I mention it was the same field, and now they are back in each others back pockets. Love and Hate are a fine line... will these two change sides? Favorite passages: - Study her soul? What the hell? I don't recognize myself. Who is this guy?
