Guilty as Sin (Sin Trilogy #2) by Meghan March *~*~*~*~*~* Review Blitz

Guilty until proven innocent.

That’s the way the world works, right?

I’m tired of being convicted without evidence, all because my last name is Gable.

The Riscoffs might own this town, but I’m done following their rules.

If only I could forget just how easily Lincoln Riscoff can drag me under his spell.

I Heart Books Review

Guilty as Sin (Sin Trilogy #2)  by Meghan March
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

How do you trust when you've been taught from birth not to...

Whitney and Lincoln are back right where we left them ... note: this review will have spoilers for book #1 (Richer Than Sin), but no spoilers for this book.  As with book one the story alternates between their perspectives and between present day and 10 years ago.  The tension, irritable family members, crazy antics, and hilarious moments are back in full force.  If I didn't need to sleep or work, I think I would have read straight to the end and been sad book #3 wasn't on my kindle yet!  And now a bit about the story...

Whitney and Lincoln are rushing to the hospital to find out about the accident involving her parents and his dad.  Of course the evil queen is there causing trouble.  Whitney is beside herself with the news of what happened and has no idea how to cope.  At the same time Ricky and Asa arrive back into town, further driving the wedge between Lincoln and Whitney.  On the flip side, trust becomes an issue again and will Lincoln ever learn how not to screw up!  Now secrets are going to get exposed, people hurt, and how will Whitney and Lincoln fair????

Favorite passages:
 - You need to figure out what you want out of this life, kid.  Find the people you want to share it with and hold them close.
 - Totally Stupid.  Definitely crazy. But completely exhilarating.

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a brand new saga of forbidden love and second chances. A Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after. Our family feud is the stuff of legends. Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes. I didn’t know or care what her name was. Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man. She hates me, and she should. I objected on her wedding day. Now she’s home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there’s no ring on her finger. They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after . . . but I’m not done with Whitney Gable. I’ll never be done with her.

I Heart Books Review

Richer Than Sin (Sin Trilogy #1) by Meghan March
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Opposites attract... But can they sustain?

Passionate, heartbreaking tale of two who's families are sworn enemies. The story mostly takes place in a smallish town where everyone knows each other and the Gable's and Riscoff's are reminiscent of the Hatfield's and McCoy's. Told from two perspectives, you bounce between the first time the two met, 10 years ago, and present day. This is a trilogy, so be ready for the cliff! And now a bit about the story...

Lincoln Riscoff is back home from New York City and he hates it. He knows he has to run the family empire someday, but he's going crazy. Then one night he meets the most beautiful woman "Blue", they decide on no names and when a bar fight ensues they sneak out to his place. Whitney Gable, aka Blue, has the best night of her life until she sees pictures at his place. She can't be there, he is the enemy! Now it's 10 years later, tragedy has happened and she's back in town. Can she avoid him, or will their too hot flames burn everything away leaving him poor as dirt?

Favorite passages:
- “... we all know you don’t wish for it— you work for it.”
- “Where are we going?” “Keep your eyes closed.” It was a miracle that I’d agreed to the blindfold, and probably a sign I should have been questioning my sanity.
- “That’s life. We get the shit and the good. It’s up to us how long we take the shit.”
- She’s perfection wrapped in thorns, but the reward is so incredible, you’re willing to risk the sting.

Whitney Gable is the kind of woman you fight to the death to protect.

To keep.

To cherish.

I’ve finally learned my lesson, and it’s time to prove I’m the man who’s worthy of her.

I don’t care what it takes, because failure is not an option.

No matter who or what stands in our way—this time, she’ll be mine forever
