SynopsisFrom the acclaimed bestselling author of Lost to You and When We Collide comes a new adult novel of one woman’s obsession: a man who’s as passionate as he is elusive—and as tempting as he is trouble.…

Aleena Moore is haunted by Jared Holt. It’s been six years since she’s seen her brother’s best friend, the self-destructive bad boy she secretly loved in high school. As the years pass, she knows it’s time to move on. Time to decide between a practical nursing degree and her true dream as an artist. Time to get over Jared and give another guy a chance…

Just when she opens her heart to her friend Gabe, Aly returns home to find Jared sleeping on her couch. The teenage boy she loved has grown into a man she can’t resist. Covered in tattoos and lost in rage, he’s begging to be saved from his demons—the memories of the day he destroyed his family. As the two reconnect, their passion is hot enough to torch Aly’s judgment. But can she risk her future for a man who lives on the edge of destruction?

Come to Me Queitly by A. L. Jackson
Review by Mary Beth
5/5 Stars

I am an avid reader and I normally consume books pretty quickly, but this book took me longer than usual. Not because there was anything wrong with it, because trust me there wasn't, but I gave myself over to this book. I needed to make sure that when I was able to read this story that I had no other distractions, so late night reads when everyone else went to sleep was the best time (which was very fitting).

This book frustrated the hell out of me one second and tore me wide open the next. I was frustrated because I am impatient and this well when you read it you'll understand that frustration perfectlty. It tore me open because I felt so much for these characters. I felt it all their love, their pain and everything in between.

I LOVED Aly!! She is beautiful inside and out, she is such a caring and kind person who loves so hardand unselfishley that it consumes and saves. Now Jared, hmm Jared. I just want to hug him not out of pitty but just because he needs one. Of course he would probably push me off and curse at me but that's fine, I can totally deal with it. Oh and the fact that he is bad biy sexy doesn't hurt.

Ah the bad boy with the troubled past book. Yes we all have read them and you may have read stories that were kind of similar to this one. So let me put this out there, you have NOT read this one and the way that Ms. Jackson lays it out there is unlike what I have read before. I almost whooped when Jared finially woke up and the end well it was perfect for them. I cannot wait to read the next chapter in this series so I can see the growth and love that we saw in this story and get to see how many of the questions I had throughout get answered.

I am super excited since we were lucky enough to get to interview A.L.Jackson for her Blog Tour.
Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions!!

Where do you get your inspiration from?
This is always a difficult question for me because my stories really just come to me, usually when I’m driving or in the shower. I usually see the characters first and I get a faint idea of what their story is about. Then they just grow in my thoughts and their story comes to life.

How do you cope if you get a bad review?
I don’t usually read interviews, except I do follow my blog tours. Bad reviews are difficult for me, even though I realize not everyone will love my books. I just don’t want those negative thoughts floating around in my head. It can inhibit me from writing the way I want to write because those thoughts can get jumbled with my inspiration, so I do my best to keep them out.

How do you choose your characters names?
A lot of times I brainstorm them out with my writing group. It’s a ton of fun to toss out names and pair last names with the first.

Occupational hazards about being a writer?
Oh goodness, long nights, sore ass, mourning for my characters. LOL…the list just goes on and on. No, but truly I love it.

What book or film character would you say you were most like?
Oh my gosh, I was trying to remember this movie the other day…there’s this female author who’s locked away in her office, her hair crazy and she’s chain smoking and drinking? Her agent is trying to talk her down from the ledge. That is totally me ;)

What makes you laugh?
My boys. They are hysterical. Like every word out of their mouths.

Which book has been the hardest to write?

When We Collide. It took me a full year to write it, but it’s always been the one I’m most proud of.

Any hints as to what lies ahead for your characters?
Jared and Aly have some major growing to do. Their love was always a secret, and they’ve never been given the chance at being a normal couple. Come to Me Softly is a bit of an exploration of that, plus Jared has never truly faced the demons who made him into the man he doesn’t want to be.

Favorite character?
Aly Moore.

Least favorite?
Troy from When We Collide. I truly despite him.

Which character would you like to meet in real life?
Jared Holt…but that could be dangerous…so maybe not.

Your favorite authors?
Molly McAdams and Colleen Hoover.
Favorite book right now?
Night Owl.
What genres of books do you read?
Lately I’ve just stuck to romance, but I do enjoy a good thriller.
Childhood book?
The Hobbit.
Did you ever dream you would become an author?
No.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I hope to still be doing what I am now. My life is so absolutely blessed, and I hope that I can continue writing these stories for you all.

Is there a person, alive or dead, you dream about meeting if you could?
I’d really love to meet Nora Roberts. She’s such a prolific author, and I’d love to know how she keeps those stories thriving in her mind after having written so many.
