I HEART BOOKS REVIEW

Pack Princess (Devil Riders MC #1) by Milly Taiden and Mina Carter
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: 5

Not all is fair in Razor is so HOT you will go up in flames!

Most of us hate the sound of razor burn ... but this Razor brings a whole new meaning :) This is the first book in a hot new series. It has romance, humor, and one sassy heroine! She is forced to sacrifice everything she wants for the good of her own family, except she just isn't sure she can do it! One of my favorite parts is how she refers to her betrothed mockingly as Chip when his name is Dale and continues to refer to how he looks and acts like a plastic Ken doll. And then of course there is the hot bad boy biker ... what a great combination! And now a bit about the story...

Evva is desperate to escape her family commitments. She is betrothed to the first born of the Rasmussen to merge the Castillo and Rasmussen families. All her friends are excited for her to marry Dale (or Chip as Evva calls him). But Evva wants to may for love and he thinks Chip is spineless and not worthy of her love or attention. In a last ditch effort to cheer her up she goes out with her friends, but she is just tired of them gushing of the 'Ken like doll' she is supposed to marry. She convinces them to go on stage at the bar and sing to her when Karaoke is announced. As they are headed to the stage she escapes the bar and looks for one last night of fun before her world ends. The biker bar she wanders into brings her much more fun than she could ever imagine. But what happens tomorrow, can she go back and fulfill her family obligations? Will her life ever be the same or will she always be dreaming of Razor...

Favorite passages:
- “And what about what I want? I don’t know him from a can of paint.”
- “I like my men to be harder. Scruffier. With the kind of face that will make you wonder if he’ll spank you or kiss you.”
- What was the obsession with Chip? He could double as a damn Ken doll. All perfectly put together. Any man who was prettier than her was not her type.
- She was pretty sure that it was orgasms that were a girl’s best friend. Fuck diamonds.
- “So, will flashing this like the bat signal make you appear?”
- He'd made her fall in less than the time it took her to pick out a new pair of Jimmy Choos.
- Of course he was. Dammit. Chip wouldn't refuse to do something his father ordered. Spineless jerk. She'd chew him up and spit him out within a week.
- “By the morning, I didn’t want you to leave at all. When you did, you took my heart with you.”
- “My heart hurts when I'm not with you.”

Meet the Authors:

Milly Taiden:
Hi! I'm Milly (AKA April Angel) I love to write sexy stories. They're usually either paranormal or contemporary with a large dose of heat. My paranormal stories can be anything from wolf-shifters (my favorites) to witches, demons and anything in between. I was born the prettiest part of the Caribbean known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, I live in New York City with my hubby, the bossy kiddo and our little dog "Needy Speedy". Don't ask. When I'm not working some really long hours at the day job, or hanging out in the awful life-sucking invention known as Facebook, messaging my bestie in the UK or shopping with my sis Julie, then I can be found watching scary movies. Buuut when I'm not doing that, I'm usually writing because the voices won't shut up. I am addicted to shoe shopping, chocolate (but who isn't, right?) and Dunkin' Donuts coffee.

Come by and visit me! I love to meet new readers!

MIna Carter:

Mina was born and raised in the East Farthing of Middle Earth (otherwise known as the Midlands, England) and spend her childhood learning all the sorts of things generally required of a professional adventurer. Able to ride, box, shoot, make and read maps, make chainmail and use a broadsword (with varying degrees of efficiency) she was disgusted to find that adventuring is not considered a suitable occupation these days. So, instead of slaying dragons and hunting vampires and the like, Mina spends her days writing about hot shifters, government conspiracies and vampire lords with more than their fair share of RAWR. Turns out wanna-be adventurers have quite the turn of imagination after all… (But she keeps that sword sharp, just in case the writing career is just a dream and she really *is* an adventurer.) The boring part: A full time author and cover artist, Mina can usually be found hunched over a keyboard or graphics tablet,
frantically trying to get the images and words in her head out and onto the screen before they drive her mad. She's addicted to coffee and would like to be addicted to chocolate, but unfortunately chocolate dislikes her.
