Review: Fearless King

Fearless King Fearless King by Maya Hughes
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

Once a liar...

Most of us are familiar with the cowardly lion stories... but what about someone who tells the truth a get burned? Do they become a habitual liar or omitter? We are back with Kings of Rittenhouse, this time for Ford and Liv's story. From the beginning, their chemistry could be felt, even though they are so off limits, best friend's sister, some many years younger, brother's crush. You name it, there is a reason it is a bad idea. But this will keep you hoping they figure it out! And now a bit about the story...

Olivia, or Liv, or Liver - depending on who is speaking, has had a crush on Ford forever. Now she is finally turning 21 and maybe she can finally turn his head too! Her brother has been injured and sent to Cali for PT. So he has Ford checking in on her. She only has one year of pre-med left and they she'll be off to med school. She does great in her classes. She aces her tests. Of course this all takes lots and lots of hours chained to her desk, flash cards, etc. But is she happy? When tragedy strikes will she take life by the horns? What if it strikes again?

Favorite passage: The first sip tasted like pure booze. If it had been rubbing alcohol, it wouldn’t have surprised me. “Jesus, are they making this themselves in the bathtub?”
