When Scarlet Cooper takes a new job as a nanny, she assumes she’s going to work for the rich couple who hired her. But instead of pulling up to their million-dollar estate, she finds herself on the front porch of a humble farmhouse, looking into the eyes of dark and brooding single dad, Weston Dawson.
It’s bad enough that Weston doesn’t have a fortune to charm out of him, but he’s also a cop. After marrying his high school sweetheart only to have her up and leave weeks after their baby was born, Weston has sworn off women for life. All that matters now is taking care of his son, Jackson.
If anyone can break down the tough exterior of the former soldier, it’s Scarlet. But just when she’s close to getting exactly what she wants, she’s faced with a whole new challenge, which just might be the biggest con she’s ever pulled: pretending she doesn’t love him.

Will her best intentions win out?

Second chance at life romance story with many laugh out load moments. A cleaner version of Shameless meets Maybury. Throw in a handsome 4 year old boy and you can't put it down. Oh and there are like 9 cats, if you are a cat lover! And now a bit about the story...

Scarlet has a ghost for a father and a drugie for a mother. She dropped out of school to take care of her two siblings. She bent and broke the laws when needed to survive. But now her dad is back and in need of expensive health care, so she turns back to an oldie but a goodie. Getting a job with a rich family as a nanny only to blackmail the husband to keep their affair secret. There are only two problems, she is now nannying for Weston and 1) he isn't rich and 2) he is a single dad. But then the truth comes out will her hustle backfire?

Favorite passages:
- "Thanks." She slips her arms inside the sleeves, thinking I'm being chivalrous. Really, I'm helping out my dick.
- "But playing matchmaker is so fun." "Play it for Logan and Owen."
- "I said 'matchmaker' not 'miracle worker'. Which is what they need."
- "Taking care of people you care about isn't a burden."
- "I swear to you, it burned my mouth," Quinn says and we both laugh. "I told Archer I would never go down on him again if he eats spicy food."
- It's not the past that makes up who you are. It's how you continue forward with your life.

Dear Jane by Kendall Ryan *~*~*~*~* Release Blitz & Review

I broke her heart ten years ago and left town. She hates me, and rightly so. It doesn’t matter that the rest of the country loves me, that I’m a starting quarterback with a multimillion-dollar contract. Because when I look in the mirror, all I see is a failure who was too young—and too afraid—to fight for what I wanted. But I’m not that guy anymore, and all I need is one shot to convince her. *** He has no idea what happened after he left. And now I’m supposed to work alongside him like we don’t have this huge, messy history? But I’m older now, wiser, and I won’t let anything stand in my way of doing a good job for this league. Not even one overpaid, arrogant player who thinks we’re going to kiss and make up. News flash, buddy: I am over you.

Do you believe in Second Chances?

This story centers around the Chicago Hawks (fictional professional football team) assistant manager, Jane, and her first love and soon to be starting quarterback for the same team, Wes.  Chicago is the home base, though of course there are lots of away games.  The tention and comedy in the story had me groaning and laughing!  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!  And now a bit about the story...

Jane has the best job, she loves her life.  That is until her dad, the head coach of the team, tells her her past will be joining the team.  It has been almost 10 years since she saw Wes.  How is she going to continue on as if nothing happened?  No one knows her secret from back then, not even her best friend Alex.  As Jane and Wes are pushed together the sparks fly.  But can this second chance get off the ground?

Favorite Passages:
 - “Pleeeease? For me?” I roll my eyes. “Fine. But only so you’ll stop bugging me, and I don’t have to smell you any longer.”
 - “Sorry for being such a girl.”“Don’t worry, that’s one of the main things I like about you.”
