This is an emotional story that will grip the heart of the reader and make them feel exactly what the character is feeling. Vicki Green did an amazing job at this book and I am honored that I got to read it. 

Bo grew up not wanting for anything. He got in school on a scholarship and can follow his dream and do as he wishes. 

Stormy grew up in less favorable circumstances. 

When Bo and Stormy become friends, they become the type of friends that are inseparable. They tell each other everything. Not only that, but the strike up a bit of a romance. 

When Stormy comes back into Bo's life, he's forced to step back and realize that he has two choices. Follow his dreams, or be with Stormy. 

Not only that, but will the forgiveness needed be found for Bo and Stormy so that their past can be put to rest?

About the Author

Vicki Green grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and currently resides in Olathe, Kansas. Along with her husband and two teenage boys, she shares her home with her cocker spaniel’s Shadow and Mocha. She has been working full time at the same Company for 35 years. Her life has been filled with the most loving and caring parents, who are both gone now but are still in her heart and mind daily.

Vicki enjoys reading Romance books which is what inspired her to begin writing this book. She has always admired Author’s dedication and hard work. She had a dream that played out for over a year, came home one day after work and decided to put it on a word document to see how it read and that became ‘My Savior Forever’, the beginning of her Forever Series, and that’s where it all began.

I loved this story. It's about a figure skater and a hockey player who meet when they are 11 and 13. It's a chance encounter. Then, when in high school, there is another chance encounter where he is heartbroken by her. They then meet again for a third time as adults....the third time is the charm!

“I’m more than shocked when Emily orders herself a Shipyard Pumpkinhead beer with a rim job. I glance at her completely engrossed in her boldness, when the most amazing words come of her mouth. “I don’t know about you Jeremy, but I just love licking off those rim jobs!” Time for me to readjust my cock again, thanks in part to my naughty little ice princess sitting next to me.”

 

Something inside of me keeps telling me to fight for this girl. “Quit, just say the hell with it! Do what makes you happy for once. From the first time I knocked you on your ass when you were eleven at the Forum I knew you didn’t belong in that life.”

“You don’t even know me Jeremy! Shit! I don’t even know me.” Emily exclaimed. “Emily, I want to get to know you. But you keep pushing me away

 

If I’m going to go through hell and back again, at least it’s going to be her I’m doing it for. Call me crazy, but I’m going all in on this one, I just hope luck is on my side.”

“You’ll have no problem getting to hell, you’ve seen her mother. That’s not going to be easy to get through, but for some reason I think you’ll handle her better than anyone. She’s totally not going to be into you for a status fuck. But, if you are going to go to battle for a girl, at least its one as smoking hot as Emily. Best of luck man, you‘re gonna need it, but I’ll have your back if you need me.”

Standing up on my wobbly legs, I giggle. Why are my legs like rubber? I turn and my eyes run up the length of the guy standing in front of me. My eyes meet those intoxicating big brown eyes. “Oh Shit,” I whisper.  That’s when I feel as though I’m falling and the last thing I remember were two warm, strong arms wrapped around my body.

 

Staring at myself in the mirror, I see what I am. I’m just nothing but a commodity for my parents to use for their own self worth. I’m disgusted with myself for never putting up a fight, even once I was old enough to realize it. So, why is it when Jeremy asked me what I wanted to do with my life once my skating career was over, I froze up? A part of me saw that everything I’ve worked for in my life so far, is going to be gone soon and after that I’ve got nothing. What do I want to do?

I’m talking to Dave about some random hockey play when his eyes go wide, spitting his beer from his mouth. “I need a minute, it’s just not right.” What the hell? I watch Dave walk away before turning in the direction he was just looking, I see what caused him to turn away. There’s my girlfriend in her naughty Alice in Wonderland costume on her knees, blindfolded with her hands bound behind her back. Then she starts bobbing her head and a million different thoughts are now running through my mind. Just the main one is enough for me to run my hands through my hair and start pacing the yard because the wrong head is working at the moment.

Turning my back, while lifting my curled hair up I say over my shoulder, “Once you unzip this dress you can do whatever you want with me. Drink me. Eat me. Spank me. Fuck me. I don’t care just so long as you end up in me.”

This "chaser" turns into a runner! 

Wonderful story of recovering from betrayal and facing your fears head on ... after a bit of running :) My husband has to travel for work and is sometimes gone 3-4 weeks, I can't even imagine what it would be like if he was deployed. Gone for months at a time fighting for his life and our freedom. Thanks to all those who serve or have family in the service. And now a bit about the book ...

Paisley and McKenzie are best friends and have been for quite a while. Neither of them have settled down yet, even though they graduated from college a few years ago. Tonight they are heading to their favorite bar, where everyone knows their name. As Kenz is ordering, Paisley notices some creep checking her out. She tries to move away from him and somewhat succeeds as they make it to the dance floor. But in no time, Mr. Creepster is grinding up against Kenz, Paisley tells him to get lost so of course he grabs her next. He is revolting, drunk, smells and is hurting her arms, but before she can even decide how to get out of the situation, strong arms wrap around her and pull her from danger. Out of instinct I jumped into the shelf before me and cowered behind the extra blankets mother kept neatly stored on the shelf. I was stunned that I was still alive, until reality set in. Seth had slumped down against the door of the closet, unrecognizable and motionless. The shotgun blast had obliterated his once handsome face.

This a fast paced new adult, suspense, mystery, romance all rolled up into one exciting read. It can be read as a stand alone book, but it is destined to be a series, so hurry up S. This book does have hawt sexual activities... so readers be warned. This is a emotional book, a lot of heart behind the characters stories, even some tearful parts. Suspense is not the right word to describe this book, I was kept on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. This book has several important characters but the author gives enough details that you are not lost in the story. The main character is Joella and I wish I had half as much guts and confidence she does. She is determined to do her job and does not let anyone get in her way. Brendan the other main character is a sexy, business owner whom is a handful so to speak... but he knows what he wants and he will not stop until he gets it. These two make a fiery combination, a book that you will not want to put down.

This story is about Joella Soriano, an detective that has been busting her chops to advance in her department. She is the one whom jumps in feet first to get the job done, and is not scared to work. She finally gets the promotion she so deserves, a second grade detective, and she is anxious to get to work. She soon learns from her Captain that her first job is to go undercover as a stripper in a club called Hush. gulp! She is to bring down the drug dealers that are working there. She believes she can do this.... well maybe.

Hush is owned by the sexy, doesn't like to take no for an answer, Brenden Kirkpatrick, a long time friend of the Captain of the 12th precinct, Captain Jeremy Weston. The captain and Brenden believe with the help of the undercover detective that they will stop the chaos happening at Hush. They all come to an agreement and the plan is set into action. Upon meeting, Brenden is taken back by Joella. She is a hawt, to say the least. Can he work with her, without falling for the temptress? Joella is all to aware that Brenden is attracted to her, not to say she doesn't feel the same, but her work comes first. Can she complete her job and keep her hands off Brenden?

Brenden soon realizes he is more than attracted to Joella and he is not liking her in the spotlight. Jealous? Absolutely. They don't realize how much both of their lives will change when Joella is put in harms way. Secrets will be exposed, and questions will be answered.

Donahue is a Philadelphia based author who penned her romance novel Acquiring Hearts in 2013, which earned her the title Amazon Best-selling Author, and Trusting Hearts in 2014 on an independent basis. She is currently working on the third novel Judging Hearts, set to be released Fall 2014. These books are part of her series titled The Heart Series.

Donahue is also working on a completely new series called The Boston Kirkpatricks. The first book in the series is called Protecting You which released May 2014. The second book in this series is called Locking You and will be released in Fall/Winter 2014. This series shows a different side of Donahue’s work.
