Synopsis:

Keaton Bridge is one hundred percent bad boy.
Cassie doesn't need a boy and certainly not a bad one. Nope. She fights crime for a living, and everything about this guy screams trouble, from his charming British accent to his mysterious past.
And Cassie doesn't do trouble.
Keaton's got his own trouble. He's trying to go legit, and an FBI agent hanging around is the last thing that will help his credibility.
All it took was one night of passion to sear her into his skin. Now he can't imagine living happily ever after without her.
All they have to do is walk away.
But neither of them ever walks away from a challenge.

Excerpt:

The list of crimes that happen on the dark net bounce through my brain as he holds me. Is he going to kill me? Strangle me right here in the parking lot of his own factory? Maybe he wants to try. He’s well-built but I’m pretty sure I can take a computer nerd in hand to hand combat. I just can’t let him get the jump. He goes for me. I’m surprised and prepared for it at the same time. I didn’t actually believe he’d try, but I’m reaching to block an attack while he’s leading with his head, which is weird, but I got this. When his lips smash against mine my body is a split second ahead of my brain. It’s processed the list of dark net violence and thus completes a series of moves to bring down a frontal attack. Even as I’m using his weight against him by holding his arm still while I swing him, letting his high center of gravity do all the work of stripping him of his balance, my mind processes the kiss. Because it was a kiss. A real soft-lipped-slightly-open-mouthed-I want-her-to-like-it kind of kiss. By the time those nice thoughts register I’m slamming him up against the car. I’m a little disappointed that I can’t take back my counterattack. I would have let him kiss me a few more seconds before taking him down. His eyes are open wide and the breath’s knocked out of him. The thump of his body against the car door fades into the night. “Why did you do that?” I ask. He looks at me as if I asked him why he pees standing up. Brows knotted. Arms out. Mouth half open as if he can’t contain the sheer number of answers he could give me right now. “What?” He says it like whot and it’s endearing and haughty at the same time. Damnit. I should have taken that kiss and not gotten all black belt on him. “Don’t sneak up on a girl like that.” I sound like a brat. He straightens himself out, pulling his cuffs down and realigning his jacket. “I’m going to pretend you didn’t just do a very impressive judo throw and tell you, out front, that I am going to kiss you. First, I am going to put my hands on your face, because I would like to feel your mouth move when I do it. Then I’m going to tilt my head to the right, so please, you should also tilt your head to the right.” He waits for me to nod, and when I do, he comes close to me and lowers his voice. “I’m going to wait a second once our lips touch, just to make sure we’re both appreciating this first contact. When I open my mouth a little, I want you to do the same. You need to accept my tongue in your mouth.” He puts his hands on my shoulders. “Is that enough of a warning?” “What happens after that?” “It’s unwritten.” He moves his hands up to my jaw, laying his thumbs against my cheeks. He strokes them and I lean forward. He kisses me just like he said he would. His tongue tastes like ice water, and his lips curve into the shape of mine. The adrenaline in my veins blends with something newer and warmer. He slides one hand back and tugs my hair which sends fluids and sensation and pleasure and all my attention between my legs. I push against him just so I can feel him resist. I need to fight him hard as I want him. He’s rigid and yielding all at once, turning us around until I’m the one with my back against the car. I shove him away and he separates from me with a sharp intake of breath. He doesn’t say a word, still holding me by a fistful of hair. The cold clouds of our breath mingle between us. He’s a predator, a criminal, and a mistake. But his jaw is tight and his nostrils flare when he breathes. He’s all those things and a bull charging for the red cape. “Push me away again,” he says, finally, “and we’re done here. And I know for a fact that’s not what you want.” I am the red cape, and I need to be yanked away as much as I need him to charge at me again and again. “When I want you to stop I’ll say so.” I shove him again, and he smiles before laying a kiss on me. It’s not a kiss I fight. It’s a kiss I want. He pauses, pulling his mouth away as if giving me a second to tell him to stop, but I don’t. I don’t start pushing against him until our mouths are locked again. His hips grind into me. I feel his erection through our clothes. I’m clutching his coat without any sense. I want to tear away every stitch of fabric. I push and pull with equal ferocity. I want to spread my legs but my coat’s too long. I want to punch him. I want that hard dick stretching me and I want it to hurt. My mind is wiped clean of everything but need. I don’t have a job or a career. I don’t have dreams built from childhood. I don’t have a name. I’m just a pillar of desire. I’m reduced to movement and hunger. I want his body inside mine. Nothing else.

For the past year, Tasha has thrown herself into her catering business with her sisters, but she’s been keeping a secret. For the past year, Jericho Smythe has been waging a war with himself. Does he want to know why Natasha broke his heart and left without looking back? Hell yes. But he’s paralyzed by the glimpses he’s gotten of her at Three Sisters Catering and he hasn’t been ready for a confrontation.

Neither of them are content with their lives, but so much has happened since those stolen moments in college. Can the right amount of spice remind them of the love they once shared? A Touch of Cinnamon may be all they need to give Tasha and Jericho back the richness they’ve been lacking.

EXCERPT:

Someone pounded on the door behind me, causing me to jump and squeal in surprise. I turned to look at the still-closed door, and knew who I’d find on the other side.
Shit.
I wiped my cheeks, put on a brave face, and opened the door.
“Hey,” I managed, even though Jericho stood before me, seething.
I took a step back, then another as he started toward me, slamming the door behind him as he let himself inside.
I tried to back farther away, but he was there, taking me in his arms and lowering his face to mine. I opened my mouth to protest, and that was all the invitation Jericho needed.
It was like coming home, his lips on mine, familiar and oh, so wonderful. I sighed and practically melted against him as he deepened the kiss. My arms went up and around his neck, to steady myself, and to finally feel him. His hair in my fingers, his chest against mine, and his soft, supple lips.
Everything … this was everything. He was everything.
Sweet and sensual quickly turned to unbridled passion as the years apart disappeared and there was only now.
His hands were working on my dress as mine were unbuttoning his shirt, both of us eager to be skin on skin. Everything was on fire, and I worried if I didn’t feel him, touch him, have him right then, I’d burn out.
Hurry,” I said, desperate for him.
“You’re driving me crazy,” Jericho muttered, and then, we were free.

A Pinch of Salt (Three Sisters Catering #1) by Bethany Lopez

What a heartwarming story!!

Who doesn't love a happy ending! Though I wasn't sure it was in the cards for these two. With the exception of the one bad guy (or should I say gal) in this story everyone is generally nice and polite to the other. Yes there are tantrums, but I'm talking about the are you kidding me type of evil. Good to know there are still stories out there where most people are good and treat each other kind. I hope you enjoy this fun and quirky story about three sisters!! And now a bit about the story...

Millie and her sisters are running a successful catering business with a small storefront. Jackson has been separated from his wife, who up and left him add their daughter to find herself, for a year. Now he has just days to plan the perfect 9 year old birthday tea party. Only one problem... he knows nothing about tea parties. Millie comes to the rescue and may end up growing more than her business!!

Favorite passages:
- I was beginning to wonder what the hell was wrong with this guy. There had to be something. No one was this perfect. Maybe he picks his nose or bites his toenails . . .

- “My daddy says, either you love someone or you don’t. I heard him in class one time, and he said the characters in his books spend so much time being ob-ob . . . What’s the word for dumb?” she asked. Mrs. Heeler and I both said, “Obtuse.”

Finally another case pulls them together, someone is kidnapping Others. As Brent pretends to be her pet, she meets Eamon -- who restores her memories of past lives. ✮✮✮ MOST LIKELY TO SCORE is here! Grab your copy today! ✮✮✮

A sexy new forbidden romance from #1 NYT Bestselling Author Lauren Blakely...

It should have been a simple play…
She needed a football player to step up and be the star for a charity calendar. I needed a sharp and savvy publicist to manage a brand-new sponsorship deal. I scratched her back. She scratched mine. And oh hell, did Jillian ever drag her nails down my back on one hell of a hot night. Okay fine, it was several hot nights on the road.
Now we’re back in town and it’s time to set the play clock back to when we were simply player and publicist. Given the way the last few years have gone, I can’t risk this deal, so it's hands off for us once again. Trouble is, I want more than than just another night with her.
What’s a guy to do when he's always been most likely to score, but the woman he’s falling for is just out of bounds?
I don't date players. And I definitely don't sleep with players. And I absolutely don't fall for a certain player when I get to know him and learn he's more than just sexy -- he's clever, funny and has a heart as big as his . .. well, you get my drift.
But my job is at stake, and I can't afford to lose that as well as my heart. The problem is, I think I've already lost that game.
What's a girl to do when the clock is running out, but the man she's falling for is off limits?

MOST LIKELY TO SCORE is a brand new standalone sports romance written in dual POV!

Be charitable... it will bring you good luck ;)

Second standalone about the San Francisco Renegades. A little football, a lot of shirtless or naked football players, and the most cute pets you've seen. Our two lovebirds want each other, but lack of honest communication makes them each assume the other would never want them. However when a charity assignment pushes them together the flood gates open. And now a bit about the story...

Jones and Jillian have worked together for a few years now. As team publicist, Jillian spends a lot of time with and near the team. Jones is a player, but his last agent robbed him blind. He needs to clean up his act, get some sponsorships, and stay healthy to recreate his nest egg. When his new agent has Jillian help with his image, she has great ideas. However it means alone time with Jones. As she continues her mantra of 'eyes up', she hopes this new assignment doesn't break her heart and end her career.

Favorite passages:
- Dear Lord, he’s naked right now. One hundred percent naked. Eyes up, eyes up, eyes up. “I’ll just grab my towel,” he says, and I breathe a massive sigh of relief.
- “Man-time does not equal woman-time.”

Excerpt

~JONES~
“Love it,” Christine says emphatically, her lips and that metal hoop in the bottom one the only parts of her face visible since the lens covers the rest. “How about a little tough-guy look now?”
Because tough guys hold footballs in front of their junk.
“This is my best badass pose,” I say, narrowing my eyes and staring at the camera like I’d stare at the secondary of the Miami Mavericks.
“Oh yes, more of that, right, Jillian?” Christine shouts to the other person here in the studio with us.
That person is Jillian, and she hasn’t looked my way since I strolled in here and dropped my drawers. Damn shame.
From her spot leaning against the far wall, the team publicist answers in a crisp, professional tone I know well. “Exactly. We love his tough-guy face.”
She doesn’t even look up from her phone.
I keep working it for Christine, doing my best to make sure my blue eyes will melt whoever is looking at the picture when the magazine hits newsstands and Internet browsers in another few weeks.
It’s an evergreen kind of issue, since the body edition is one of the most popular. Gee, I wonder why. I’ve no doubt this shot of me with a football for my skivvies will quickly surpass the previous most-searched-for image of yours truly—the game-winning catch I made in the end zone in the Super Bowl two years ago.
But, to be fair, there’s another shot of me that’s searched for maybe a tiny bit more. I like to pretend that shot doesn’t exist.
“The camera loves you,” Christine croons as the snap, snap, snap of the lens keeps the rhythm.
“The feeling is entirely mutual,” I say, pursing my lips in an over-the-top kiss.
Christine laughs. “You are my favorite ham in all of sports, Jones. That’ll be a perfect outtake for our website.”
“That’s a brilliant idea,” Jillian chimes in. “Make sure to send me a copy for social, please.”
“Absolutely,” Christine answers.
I sneak a peek at the dark-haired woman by the wall, that silky curtain of sleekness framing her face as she smiles a bright, buoyant, outgoing grin at the photographer then drops her head back down.
Damn.
Jillian Moore is one tough nut to crack.
I’m nearly naked in front of her, and she hasn’t once looked my way.
As the woman behind the lens shoots another photo with my favorite ball covering my favorite balls, Jillian doesn’t even spare another glance.
I’m going to need a whole new playbook to get this woman’s attention.

Hands down, my favorite thing in the world is to score. Touchdowns.

Don't let the fact that I'm the leading pick in the MOST LIKELY TO SCORE charity auction fool you. These days, I'm only a player on the field. I've kept my pants zipped all season long -- and it has been long -- because nothing's more important than leading my team to victory every week. Except maybe escaping from the team owner's recently-widowed and handsy-as-hell sister who's dead set on winning more than a date with me.

Enter Violet and a well-placed Hail Mary.
She's my best friend's sister with a smile as sweet as cherry pie and a mind that runs quicker than the 40-yard-dash. After Violet saves the day with the highest bid, I don't even give her a two-minute warning before I kiss her in front of the whole crowd and then announce that she's my girlfriend. Which would be fine except my agent tells me we have to keep up the act while he's negotiating my contract. Violet takes one for the team and pretends to be mine, but our boyfriend-girlfriend scrimmage quickly turns into a full contact sport, and I want it to go into overtime. The problem is -- I've been riding the bench for years.
How can a guy like me, who finally has a chance to prove his worth on the field, convince the girl she’s most valuable to his heart?
MOST VALUABLE PLAYBOY is a brand new standalone sports romance written in the guy’s POV!

Most Valuable Playboy by Lauren Blakely
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Go Long!!

Awesome story of the cutie avoiding the clingy women at work while being secretly (even from himself) in love with his best friends little sister. What makes this story even better? There is camaraderie, there is football, there are charitable characters, and even the bad guys aren't that bad. There is quite a bit of miscommunication, because when do we ever really say what we mean? I loved it and I can't wait for the next one! And now a bit about the story...

Cooper has been riding the bench for three years and now he has his big catch to lead the team to victory. Violet is his best friend Trent's little sister. She comes to his rescue - quite a bit actually - but as the two are forced together, Cooper realizes more and more how much Violet is no longer only Trent's little sister! Now if only he can keep his pledge, no sex until the season is over!

Favorite passage: I tried Google Translate with womanspeak as the language, but it came out as gibberish.

Exclusive Excerpt: The craving to feel her against me is dark and consuming. Yes, I’m aware of everything around us, but I don’t care. I want to feel again. I want to be with someone who doesn’t look at me and see blood and pain. I want her. Her hand settles on my side, fingers slipping under the hem of my shirt. Gently, she brushes a fingertip over my scar, and my skin bristles. Heat goes through me, driving me to act and not think. I lean forward, lips parting. I’m going to kiss her. I don’t care who sees. I don’t care if it’s wrong. Nora tips her head up, and her nails dig into my skin. And then a car in the parking lot backfires, the loud pop echoing off the mountains. Suddenly, I’m there. The smell always gets me first. I can be perfectly calm, not thinking about it at all, and it hits me as hard as the bullet did when it ripped through my flesh on my side. It’s not real. I’m not there, yet I can smell it like I’m standing in the thick of it all over again. Gun powder. Blood. I hear it next. The rapid firing of a gun. Screams. More shots. My own voice, ringing out over the harrowing hail of gunfire. Then I see it, and when I get to that point, I’m gone. The blood. The bodies. The look in Jason’s eyes. The way his body fell after the final bullet tore through him. “Jack?” Nora’s voice is distant. She’s sitting right next to me, yet it sounds like we’re separated by a thick door. “Hey, Jack. Can you hear me?” Her hands go to mine. I blink, forcing my eyes to focus on her face. There are no guns firing. There is no blood around me. I’m not pulling the trigger and watching the bullet hit my best friend. “Jack?” Nora moves her hand to my face, turning my head in. “Are you okay?” I blink away the living nightmare and focus on the deep green of her eyes. I twist my hand, and lace my fingers through hers, and the panic starts to fade, just like it did last night. “No,” I whisper, and for the first time in over a year, tell the truth. Her jaw tenses and she closes the distance between us, sliding her hand down my back as she leans in. I wrap her in a tight embrace, burying my face in her hair. “It’s okay,” she whispers, and she doesn’t have to continue for me to know what she means. She’s not telling me that I’ll be okay, that life will somehow click together and be okay. She’s telling me it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to admit it. And it’s okay to have someone to lean on. “Yeah,” I whisper back, feeling it for the first time since that god-awful day. “I think it will be.”
