Blurb:
Brianna Thompson was unaware that she had a stalker. After she was attacked her best friend, Abby, convinces her to take a vacation out of state until the police catch the stalker. While on vacation Brianna runs intoCaleb who walked out on her seven years earlier. Now all she wants to do is go back home.
Caleb Kingston left his old life behind seven years ago. Everything including the woman he loved. Now Brianna pops back into his life and he can't have her. She can never know his secret. Will she ever forgive him without knowing the truth?
Will Brianna's stalker catch up to her? Can she find it in her heart to forgive Caleb even though he won't give her straight answers? Or will her life be turned upside down?
Excerpt:
Just as Brianna unlocked herdoor and started to open it, she caught a glimpse of something to her right. Before she could register what it is or even turn her head, a hard object hit the back of her head. Everything started going blurry and she could feel herself starting to fall forward. She tried to catch herself on the table beside the door. Missing the table, she sees two of, she clears it of all contents as she falls to the floor. Brianna began pushing herself up, when hands wrap around her arms and yanks her up. She is now face to face with Derek, he seems different. He has a dark aura around him. Although that could just be her imagination since she isn't thinking too clearly and her brain seems to be pounding against her skull. Brianna takes a step back and tries to pull herself free from his grasp with no success. Derek backhanded her across the face.
“Don't fight me, you won't win.” He spat at her, as she struggles to break free.
The more she fought, the bigger Derek's smile got. He was enjoying this. If only she was wearing pants instead of this stupid skirt. The skirt wouldn't allow her to get her leg up far enough, to kick him in his nuts, so Brianna decides to stomp on his foot with her heel.
“Son of a bitch!” He yells as he takes his hands off her to grab his foot. Bri bolted for the door but before she could turn the door knob, Derek had grabbed her blouse and yanked her backwards, ripping her blouse in the process.
“I said don't fucking fight me!”His voice was filled with anger as he backhands her across the face again, this time splitting herlip. How in the world can this thin man hit this damn hard? He had recovered from the heel to the foot, and now had her arms again, squeezing them tight.
“You think you can get away from me?” He says glaring at her. “Not this time. This time I will have your full attention. No passing me by with only a nod.”

She swallows, and I watch with more curiosity than I should as her eyes flick to my mouth quickly before finding my gaze. “I should go touch up my makeup.”
It’s then that I realize how hard we’re both breathing, how close we’re standing. Dropping her hands, I shove my own back in my pockets and nod. “Okay. I’ll see you out there.”
Before I can think more about what the hell just happened, I turn on my heel and make my way toward the side stage exit.
“Adam?”
I pause, turning slowly, afraid she’ll tell me I was over the line. Afraid I’ll lose her, even though she’s not really mine to keep.
“Thanks. Really.” She smiles with just one side of her mouth, just for a moment, before backing into the bathroom and slowly closing the door.
“Anytime,” I reply to no one. And I know even though she didn’t hear it, she knows it’s true as much as I do. I’d be there for her no matter what.
I just can’t decide if that’s a good thing.

Palm South University (Season Two, Episode Two) by Kandi Steiner
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: 5
Change is coming...
We continue the spring semester with our close friends from Palm South! Spring break planning, the annual KKB auction, and Valentine's Day. And now a bit about the story...
What would be more traditional spring break planning than dieting. Though Skylar and Jess seem to fail! And then it is on to the auction. Can the girls keep it together and pull off a successful fundraiser?
Favorite passages:
- “You sure you don’t want to eat the tin foil, too?”
- ... being that all of my intelligence is wasted in the classroom, my common sense is at exactly level zero.
- “... on a scale of one to sexy I’m at a solid awkward turtle ninety percent of the time.”

Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).
When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.

Break Me (TBX #1) by Ashley Christin

Can they survive the mean girl's attempt to break them...
Loved this new adult story! Reminded me of how much fun I had in college when troubles were still trouble, but much different. Though I can't imagine having to deal with mean girls today with all this technology... The leading ladies are strong, for the most part, and the men are hot, possessive, sporty, and about to turn a new leaf. And now a bit about the story...
Brea has just broken up with her two timing boyfriend from high school and is headed back to spring semester of her sophomore year in college. She is going to start fresh and single!! Excited to go out to party with friends, she runs into Colt Taylor, the one other boy who ever caught her eye. If only he wasn't a man whore... but he's been gone six months, people can change, right?
Favorite passages:
- “Crashes happen every day. You should really take a defensive walking course, though.”
- “Looks like you’ve made some new friends,” Nick states as he stands, sizing Tim up. “Looks like you’ve made some new enemies,” Tim replies, not intimidated in the least.
- The possessiveness I already feel for Brealynn scares me sh¡tless, but I’ll be d@mned if he comes back into her life before I have a chance to explore what we have.
- She makes me want to be a better person, but what’s that saying? ‘A tiger can’t change his stripes.' Well, grrr.
- “Whatcha doin'?” Kelsey plops down in the seat next to me on the couch. “Just taking a break between classes. You?”“Skipping. I hate speech. Clearly, I know how to speak.”
- Clearly, he is in a pissy mood. Join the club; I hear they are taking new members.
- “Mom can’t fix your boo boo this time, sweetie.”
Kelsey
Being around Parker Taylor is like walking a tightrope; the feelings of lust and hate come with the sway of my emotions. One foot in front of the other keeps my life balanced until he causes my steps to falter. One day, I hate his perfect self, and the next, I want to have his babies. He’s a bad habit I can’t allow myself to become addicted to …
Parker
Being around Kelsey Whitten makes my blood rush and not only south. One minute, I’m pushing her up on the bathroom counter, and the next, she’s cussing at me from those sweet lips of hers. One taste from her smart mouth and I'm sign-me-up-for-a-twelve-step-program addicted. She’s habit-forming and that doesn’t work for me …

Craving You (TBX #2) by Ashley Christin
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: 5
Kelsey and Parker have one strong addiction...
Craving You picked up right where Break Me left off! All the awesome characters from the first book are back, plus a few more. We learn more secrets, fall in love, run in fear, conquer our dreams and nightmares. What more is needed? And now a bit about the story...
Kelsey has moved in with her best friends boyfriend and his brother. Having a nice house to live in should be way better than the dorms, right? Except when said brother is Parker Taylor. Her body wants him, again. Her mind knows there is no such thing as a happy ever after. It should be perfect, a live in friends with benefits, but she is scared of her cravings.
Favorite passages:
- “Come on, sweetness.” I encourage, not beg. Let’s get that straight. I don’t beg.
- “But I want you to want me just as bad as I want you.” I stare at him, dumbfounded. “I want you to crave me, and I always get what I want.”
- “...there’s more to this world than what’s troubling you. That even though you may feel certain feelings, the world moves on. As gut wrenching as life may sometimes feel, beauty still exists.”
- “Don’t you know two lost people can find each other and make a home?”
- ‘Dark secrets always find light,’
- Brealynn’s knight in shining armor sh¡t is rubbing off thick on me.
I’m Texas proud with the accent to prove it. During the day I wear scrubs as a cape and try to save the world one patient at a time as a nurse. At night, mainly Friday nights, you can find me with a glass of wine faithfully by my side while I type away on the computer. I seem to get my days and nights mixed up, because my best ideas come around midnight, so I’m a complete night owl. I have a long-term boyfriend who puts up with my crazy and a black lab named Sadie AKA Sadie Lady. In the in-between times of my life, I’m just tryin’ to survive my twenties with beer, good friends and fun adventures!

LITTLE BLACK BREAK
My name’s Sebastian Black, and my life as I know it is over. My little black book days were numbered the minute I met Rosslyn. She became my one and only and lightened my dark soul.
But now my past is threatening my future—threatening the woman I love. I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her. Even if I have to lie—pretend to cheat—I need her to leave my world and remain safe.
Breaking her heart is killing me, but I refuse to let my old sins destroy the only good in my life.
If you love her, let her go. If you’re dangerous like me, pray she stays away. I won’t let her get caught in the crossfire. No matter who I have to break.

“Sebastian says touch yourself.” His husky
voice brushed the side of my neck, sending chills to my toes. “Slide your
fingers into your sweet pussy so I can suck them clean.”
I melted beneath him, my thighs widening
automatically as my wandering fingers rolled over my clit. Sensation moved over
me and my body tensed. Sebastian was the king of foreplay, leaving me wet and
ready—throbbing so hard I thought I’d die if he didn’t put me out of my misery.
“Please, Sebastian. Give me what I want,” I
begged.
All this time together and he was still able
to make me beg for his touch—make me breathe his name until he soothed the sweet
ache he’d built between my thighs.
“Ah, come on, Mrs. Black. How do you expect
me to hold out when you beg so sweetly?”
“I’m not Mrs. Black yet, Mr. Black,” I teased.
Sebastian had officially proposed the night I
graduated from Tech with my Associate’s
in Criminal Justice. He’d offered to pay for an expensive four-year college, but I was determined to do
things on my own, which meant Tech it was. And with my past and the many years
I’d spent needing justice for the murder of my parents, criminal justice made
sense.
His proposal was unexpected since everyone
who knew Sebastian knew he wasn’t the marrying kind. Even I was shocked when he
dropped to one knee in the middle of our bedroom and asked me to spend the rest
of my life with him.
I’d had some champagne at the celebratory
dinner after my graduation ceremony, and I wasn’t sure I’d heard him correctly,
but then he looked up at me with pure adoration and I knew—I just knew—I never
wanted to be away from him. I’d never love another man the way I loved
Sebastian, and no other man would ever love me the way he did.
I said yes, and we spent the rest of the
night making love.
It was beautiful.
Perfection.
Everything Sebastian embodied.
That was a week ago, and his look of
adoration still lingered in his expression, but as he looked down at me, it was a raw,
unadulterated need that filled his clear blue eyes.
His grin was dark and dangerous as he pulled
my fingers from my trembling body and sucked the glistening moisture from their
length—his tongue flicking at the tips. Desire struck me deep and I bit into my
lip to control the animalistic growl that crawled up the back of my throat.
Dark, damp hair fell over his scorching blue
eyes and I brushed it away with my free hand, losing my fingers in its thickness.
My hips lifted from the plush mattress, begging on their own for his length.
He chuckled, the sound rich and exotic as it rumbled across my skin.
“Official or not, you’re mine, Rosslyn.
You’ve been mine since the first time I laid eyes on you. Do you understand?”
His thick cock massaged my entrance soothing
the ache briefly as he teased me in return. With his skin beneath my nails, I
dug my fingers deep into his flesh as I tried to pull his body into mine.
“Now, Sebastian. I need you,” I breathed.
“No, beautiful, not until you give me what I
want.”
I knew what he wanted, but like him, I liked
to make him beg for it. It was why we worked.
Push and pull.
Give and take.
I was able to hook Sebastian Black because I
wasn’t afraid to fight him—to make him quake with want, quiver with need. We
drove each other crazy, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Still, I
pressed my lips together, holding out for a little longer.
He pushed against me harder, my insides
burning for his intrusion.
“Fuck,” he rumbled. “Say it, Rosslyn. Tell me
what I want to hear and I’ll give you what you want. I’ll give you what you
want all night long, baby.”
I lifted my hips to draw him in, but he
pulled back letting the cool air rush between us.
“Give me what I want and I’ll tell you what
you want to hear,” I countered.
Again, he snickered; the evident strain in
his voice letting me know I was close to winning.
His body was stiff above me, his biceps trembling from holding up his weight and his
hips shaking against my core. I could see the defeat in his eyes as he licked
his lips and his breath quickened. He was incredibly sexy all the time, but
nothing beat Sebastian in the heat of the moment—the
seconds before he climbed into me and set both our bodies aflame.
And then he shifted and filled me.
Deep.
Thick.
Stretching me so completely I mewed in
appreciation.
He closed his eyes against the pleasure, and
we sighed in unison at the sweet relief.
“Is this what you want, dirty girl? You want
my cock deep inside you?” His breathing was erratic; his eyes steeled in
preparation for taking me hard and fast the way I liked it.
I nodded as I internally celebrated winning
our little game of tug-of-war.
“Say it, Rosslyn.” He pulled back and pushed
into me—hard and swift—deeper and deeper with each thrust. It felt amazing.
He felt wonderful.
“Fuck, you feel incredible,” he growled. “I’ll
never get over how perfect you feel. So tight—so wet—wrapped around my cock.”
My toes dug into the mattress as desire worked its way from my hips and into my
stomach. I loved the way Sebastian talked to me—especially during sex. It was
an aphrodisiac for my senses, and it made me feel powerful. It made me feel
wanted—like he could never get enough of me, which was good considering I knew
I’d never get enough of him.
“Say it, baby. I need to hear it.”
I loved it when he begged—the strain in his
voice fulfilling me emotionally while his body pleasured me physically. The
tension in his voice thick and ready to
snap. He wanted me—he needed me to soothe his ache the way he was soothing
mine.
It was physical, but it was also mental.
Emotionally, Sebastian needed more. He needed
me to reach inside his mind and soothe him in a way I couldn’t with my body.
Spiritually, he needed depth. To know that I was latching on to him and never
leaving his side. All his life he’d been left. Put on the side of the road and
never collected. I’d always known how broken he was, but I also knew it was my
job to keep him together.
I opened my mouth to say the words he longed
to hear, to give him the relief he was giving me, but he plowed into my center
once more and the words melted on my tongue leaving a pleasured moan in their
stead.
“Say it, Rosslyn,” he demanded.
He was getting louder, his body
stronger—faster—ruthless.
I was lost in a sea of baby blue as he stared
down at me with determination. Sweat dotted his brow, threatening to drip onto
my flaming skin. I dug my fingernails into the flesh of his firm ass, making
him growl. He quickened, taking my body with passion—slamming into me—pushing
me to the head of the bed and to the brink of release.
“I can’t … I can’t say it,” I stuttered.
Confusion swept over his expression. “Why
not?”
And then I smiled because I knew I’d
officially won our little game. It wasn’t often that I won in our little game
of wits and foreplay, but I’d held out regardless of the intensity of his
movements—the passion in his eyes—the pleasure that flowed through me so
completely.
I’d won.
“Because you didn’t say Sebastian says.”
