BLURB:

She has a broken heart and revenge on her mind...

Last year Karrie was riding high. She had a boyfriend she loved, a softball scholarship, and the best roommate a girl could have.
When it turned out her man was a lying, cheating ballsack, she may have gone off the rails a bit.
Now, it's a new year and Karrie's ready to build herself back up and move on to bigger and better things.
Still, a little revenge would go a long way in helping the healing process.

He's got a plan for revenge that will suit them both...

Ridge is used to being the BMOC. Sergeant of Arms of his frat and the ability to land any chick within snapping distance has made life pretty easy for him.
His home life is another story. He and his brothers are in the middle of a battle between his socialite mother and asshole father.
Ridge is looking for a stand-in to placate his mother and her matchmaking ways, and he has a feeling he's just met the girl he can perfectly mold.

This makeover has nothing to do with love and everything to do with Karrie and Ridge using each other to get what they want. What starts as a ruse soon becomes an attraction they cannot deny. When it's all said and done, they'll both have more to confess than a need for revenge.

FRAT HOUSE CONFESSIONS: RIDGE by Bethany Lopez

Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Here's to partners in crime!

Updated for audio book...

College frat house lift anyone? This story starts off in pledge week, a Sargent at Arms needing to keep his position and his mom off his back and a scholarship athlete trying to make her ex jealous. What better way that supporting the pledge makeover routine? They just have a deal, right? No feelings! And now a bit about the story...

Ridge cannot stand Crush, or his crazy pledge missions, but he decides to play along when he sees Karrie at Delta. Karrie's boyfriend broke up with her and she hasn't tried to do anything since, until her roommate convinced her to go out, though she refused to put any effort into it. Not wanting to lie, he's direct with Karrie and tell's her his whole plan, he'll get what he wants, she'll get what she wants, win-win. But will they both get more than they were expecting???

Loved the narration, you feel liked your right there next you Ridge and Karrie. I listened to the story in three mornings during my walks. Fun and exciting reminder of college days. Though shows what jumping to conclusions can lead to...

Favorite passage: Bringing those feelings to light would be treading in dangerous territory.

A Pinch of Salt (Three Sisters Catering #1) by Bethany Lopez
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a heartwarming story!!

Who doesn't love a happy ending! Though I wasn't sure it was in the cards for these two. With the exception of the one bad guy (or should I say gal) in this story everyone is generally nice and polite to the other. Yes there are tantrums, but I'm talking about the are you kidding me type of evil. Good to know there are still stories out there where most people are good and treat each other kind. I hope you enjoy this fun and quirky story about three sisters!! And now a bit about the story...

Millie and her sisters are running a successful catering business with a small storefront. Jackson has been separated from his wife, who up and left him add their daughter to find herself, for a year. Now he has just days to plan the perfect 9 year old birthday tea party. Only one problem... he knows nothing about tea parties. Millie comes to the rescue and may end up growing more than her business!!

Favorite passages:
- I was beginning to wonder what the hell was wrong with this guy. There had to be something. No one was this perfect. Maybe he picks his nose or bites his toenails . . .
- “My daddy says, either you love someone or you don’t. I heard him in class one time, and he said the characters in his books spend so much time being ob-ob . . . What’s the word for dumb?” she asked. Mrs. Heeler and I both said, “Obtuse.”

A Touch of Cinnamon (Three Sisters Catering #2) by Bethany Lopez
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Will her first love be her last?

A lovely romantic standalone with a little suspense. Set in a beautiful small town with thriving shops on Main Street. We get to read about the next steps for Millie and Jackson from book one, but no worries, you will not get lost if you read this first. But the best part is learning what made Natasha and Jericho hate each other. Some say hate is really close to love. And now a bit about the story...

Natasha and Jericho met in college and fell head first in love. Every moment not spent in class or studying was with each other. They talked about everything: past, present, and future. But then early one morning, right before their morning coffee date, Natasha got a call to come home, family emergency. She knew she couldn't leave him unless she did it cold turkey. So off she went. A year later they are reunited when he opens a restaurant across the street from her family business. It is pure hatred at first. But will love find its way back to them???

Favorite passages:
- I was captivated , mesmerized, staring up at him as he grinned slightly down at me.
- My heart crumbled and I felt pain and anger radiating through me.

A Splash of Vanilla (Three Sisters Catering #3) by Bethany Lopez
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just the Splash they needed!

The last happy ending for the three sisters! You'll get to hear and witness Millie and Tasha's happy ever after from Dru and Mick's perspective. This one is direct and to the point and I loved it! There is a little mystery and some drama too. Plus a few mystery characters that I'm hoping will get their own series. And now a bit about the story...

Dru was drawn the Mick from the moment they met. Unfortunately he had a no dating clients rule and she has hired him to find her dead beat dad. Mick was kicking himself everyday for his rules and may have even bent them a time or two. Once the case is solved it should be smooth sailing, right?

Favorite passages:
- How come men could do that ? Buy one suit to wear to every event, and get no flack, while if women got caught wearing the same dress repeatedly, it was like there was something wrong with her?
- “Wanna eat at the table, or watch something on TV?” he asked. ... “TV,” I replied. “We can sit at the table for breakfast.” I didn’t bother hiding my grin as I took the plate and sashayed out of the room, ignoring the shock on Mick’s face.
- “Have you ever tried Ben & Jerry’s?” “No, but I’ve had ice cream.” “It’s not the same thing, you’ll see,” I promised. “We’ll pop your Cherry Garcia tonight.”

But it looks like he had a bit too much fun in Vegas when he wakes up married…wedding night included. Marlee’s attempts at getting her life back together are failing miserably. Exclusive Excerpt:

“You catching that?” Jase asked, his focus returning to the poster and the tape. “Catching what?” Heather replied. Poster in hand, he moved to the front window and pressed it against the glass, smoothing it before turning back to her. “Catching the little buzz we have going on between us.” “A little… the thing is…” C’mon Heather, be strong. You are the cookie lady now. You don’t date. You are all you need. That’s what the podcast she’d been listening to said to her over and over again. Mantra in hand, she slapped on her I’m-in-charge-here-buddy mask. “It would never work between us.” The edges of his lips ticked up ever so slightly. “You can’t know that.” Oh, she knew. He sauntered toward her. Unwilling to back down, she stepped toward him. Expression firm, she said, “I can already see exactly how this whole thing would play out if we let it. You’d start with a horrible pick up line.” “Guilty.” His hands fell to the belt loops of his jeans. Her palm itched to press against the front of his tee, but she refrained. “Then I’d counter with a witty response. This time my reply would be even better. Funny, intelligent…everything.” “Now, that I’d like to hear.” Nothing but a foot of crackling air sizzled between them. “Trust me, if I had said it, it would have been epic. You can’t repeat something like that. It has to happen in the moment.” She shook her head, the sleek ponytail she’d carefully arranged earlier brushing against the collar of her jacket. “That right there is why we wouldn’t have worked out. I mean you couldn’t even come up with a snappier reply.” He crossed his arms, the little veins of his muscled forearms flexing with the motion. “Oh, I would’ve. It would’ve been the best response in the history of pick-up line replies.” “I don’t believe you.” The glimmer in his eyes lit up his entire face. He was clearly enjoying this exchange entirely too much. Control. She needed the power back. “Trust would’ve always been one of your issues in our relationship.” “Maybe you just couldn’t be honest with me about how you felt. That’s probably why we would have always argued.” He raised his eyebrows in a clear ultimatum. Challenge accepted. She stepped the tiniest bit closer to him. “Let’s say you threw out that awful line again. The one about taking me out.” “I’m with you so far.” He glanced down to the floor in clear acknowledgment of her movement forward, but he held his ground. “We’d banter for a good bit—” His face sparked with humor. “Sounds about right.” “Both of us would get that tingly feeling of attraction. You know the one.” So maybe she made her voice a little breathier than usual. Sue her. His mouth parted, the exaggerated fullness of his lower lip apparent. “You have a tingly feeling?” She shook her head and raised a hand. Not touching his chest like she desperately wanted to but getting within millimeters. “That’s not the important part. Eventually you would convince me to go on a date.” “I’d take you to this great taco stand. I love tacos.” “Despite that, I’d probably let you take me out again. And again,” she said, not willing to acknowledge the way she wanted to nip at his lip with her teeth. He nodded. “I’m digging this relationship so far.” “Eventually, you’d ask me to move in. I’d say no. You’d pressure me, even though I wouldn’t be ready.” “What can I say? I wouldn’t want to spend a night away from you. No use paying for two apartments.” She shrugged, dropping her hand. “I’d cave, and we’d finally move in together—” “Do we get to hook up first? Don’t skip that part.” This time he moved forward. Not a lot, just a smidge. She stayed put. She refused to back up first. “Of course. It would be awful. Sorry Speed Racer, but I need more than three minutes of go-time.” “That’s not what you’d say after you screamed my name.” He leaned forward, the whisper of his words brushing against her ear. God, there wasn’t but a breath of space between them. She was all turned-on Heather, ready to throw her why-have-a-man-when-you-can-have-cookies resolve away. His breath smelled of cinnamon candy and coffee, turning her knees effectively to melted butter. No, she stopped herself. Back to the break-up at hand.

Tempting Levi (Cade Brothers #1) by Jules Barnard
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Temptation will overcome!!

Spin off from the Men of Lake Tahoe series! In the last Tahoe book we met Adam Cade. Now we are about to meet the remaining four hot brothers to come in this series with love, passion, suspense, frustration, and happiness!! And now a bit about the story...

Levi has been put in a tough spot. A blow to the head took his dream job away. Now he's lost his absent father only to be asked to fill his shoes. What does he know about running a resort? Luckily his father planned ahead for that. He hired a Harvard grad to assist Levi. Problem after problem those two can't seem to stay apart... but dating the boss isn't all bad, right?

Favorite passages:
- Though he had touched her bared skin—purely to get her attention. Had nothing to do with being drawn to her beauty like a bug to the neon light that would be its death.
- Yeah, that wasn’t gonna work. He couldn’t date Emily. She was Lisa’s sister, for God’s sake. And his assistant. And he needed her at the club more than he needed her in his bed. He wanted her in his bed, but he wasn’t impulsive like his younger brothers.

Daring Wes (Cade Brothers #2) by Jules Barnard
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

His biggest challenge ...

Another Lake Tahoe hit!! The Cade brothers are back again and another is likely to fall. But will he fall for real or head first into the water hazard?? Funny, frustrating, hot -- I mean there is a Magic Mike style dance for Pete's sake -- and another adventure at the resort. And now a bit about the story...

Wes and Kaylee were in love one upon a time, back in college, but then she left him, his golf game went to crap, he didn't make the pro tour and he was stuck working as the golf pro at Daddy's resort. Now he has accepted his new normal, that is until Kaylee walks into his pro shop announcing she is there to marry someone else. The sparks are flying, but she isn't single and there is lots of pain on both sides. I'm betting him may go for a swim in a water hazard for sure!!

Favorite passages:
- Wes gave her a blank stare. “Emily, don’t use convoluted female logic on me right now.”
- Not that he’d admit that to a single living soul, but he wasn’t such a caveman that he couldn’t admit it to himself. Okay, it had taken him years to admit it, but he’d gotten there eventually. Cavemen could evolve.
- And that was a big if. But none of that mattered at the moment. Suddenly his lower half seemed the smarter of the two brains, and it was in full control.

Love, Hate, Control and Chaos...

In this next installment of the Cade brothers, Bran - the so called "monk" of the family finally meets his match.  There is frustration, anger, betrayal, humor, love, control, hate, and chaos as the two strong tempered leads battle their attraction for the other.  And now a bit about the story...

Ireland has had enough male superiority and harassment at work to last her three lifetimes.  She is a good programmer, but has left the west coast in search of a good company to work for.  This lands her in Tahoe with her cousin Cali, who introduces her around and gets her a job a Blue.  But the crew from Blue Casino and Club Tahoe are all great friends so it isn't long before Ireland and Bran are in each other's path.  Each time they end up alone their lips gravitate to the others, so much for keeping in control and staying away.  What will be the final straw, when Ireland moonlights for Bran, when they go on their first date....

Coming Up Roses by Staci Hart ~*~*~*~*~*~ Release Blitz & Review

Everyone hates part of their job, and I hate Luke Bennet.

Coming Up Roses, an all-new must read enemies to lovers romantic comedy from Staci Hart is available now!

CUR-ebook

Everyone hates parts of their job.
Maybe it’s the paperwork. Maybe it’s the day-to-day grind. Maybe it’s that client who never knows what they want, or the guy who always cooks fish in the microwave.
But not me. I love every corner of the Longbourne Flower Shop, every flower, every petal, every stem. I love the greenhouse, and I love Mrs. Bennet, my boss. I love creating, and I love being a florist. I don’t hate anything at all.
Except for Luke Bennet.
The Bennet brothers have come home to help their mom save the flower shop, and Luke is at the helm. His smile tells a tale of lust, loose and easy. He moves with the grace of a predator, feral and wild. A thing unbridled, without rules or constraint.
When he comes home to save Longbourne, I almost can’t be mad at him.
Almost.
He doesn’t remember that night I’ll never forget. That kiss, touched with whiskey and fire. It branded me like a red-hot iron. But it meant nothing to him.
Everyone hates part of their job, and I hate Luke Bennet.
Because if I don’t, I’ll fall in love with him.
