Falling for the Cowboy (Bedtime Reads #3) by Kennedy Fox *~*~*~*~* New Release & Review

Never trust a man who wears nothing more than a cowboy hat and ripped jeans who asks if you’d like to save a horse and ride a . . . well, you get the picture. That should’ve been enough for me to walk away. I’ve been warned on several occasions about southern men—with their sexy accents, charming manners, and the ability to easily get any woman in bed—which is something I’ll be avoiding. Being a professional photographer has many perks—traveling around the world, calling all the shots, and working with subject matter that isn’t bad to look at—but Colton Langston with his washboard abs and baby blue eyes, could care less about my current project. He’s trouble, I know it, and he’s determined to make me work for every single photo. When I’m forced into riding lessons, I get way more than I ever bargained for, and by the time my trip is over, I’m in too deep. Being with him was thrilling, but falling for him was unpredictable. And ignoring him will be impossible.

Falling for the Cowboy (Bedtime Reads #3) by Kennedy Fox
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Falling never felt so good... #sogood

Another hot and steamy read!  Set in Texas on the Bishop ranch.  Can be read stand alone, but it is a spin off from the Bishop brothers series, so if you want a subtle introduction for them, this would be a great place to start.  Presley, aka Red, is a sassy, bold, curvy, bookstagrammer and Colton is a sexy and cut cowboy.  And now a bit about the story...

Presley has the best job, she reads romance, travels around, takes photos and helps promote books.  Her latest trip takes her to the Bishop ranch in Texas.  Where she is surrounded by hot and sexy cowboys.  Some try and flirt their way into her pants, but its the one who keeps knocking her on her ass that seems to attract her attention!  Colton isn't paying attention when he walks out of the Bishop Ranch Bed & Breakfast and straight into the fiery red headed Presley.  She falls for him literally, and soon later it looks like she is falling with her heart too.  Only problem is she has to leave soon... Can this bookstagrammer uproot her entire life?

Favorite passages:
 - “You’re the horse trainer?” I ask, confused. I’m not sure what I thought he did around here, but it wasn’t this. “Yes, ma’am . But I’ve been known to train women too.” He winks and smirks, and I want to smack it right off his damn face.
 - Sometimes peopling is hard.

I never thought my first kiss would be on my wedding day.
But here I stand, clutching a bouquet of pale pink roses behind the doors of a Las Vegas chapel, and at the end of the aisle is the absolute last man I imagined would be waiting for me.
Thomas Bane.
Bestselling author. Notorious bad boy. Savagely handsome, dark as sin, chiseled as stone. And somehow, my soon-to-be husband.
Marry him, and I’ll land my dream job. Save him, and I’ll walk away with everything I’ve ever wanted. All I have to do is remember it’s all for show. None of it is real, no matter how real it feels.
But first, I have to survive the kiss.
And with lips like his, my heart doesn’t stand a chance.

Excerpt:

The hall bathroom door opened, consequently stopping the earth’s orbit and flinging me into space for lack of gravity. Thomas Bane stepped out of the doorway in slow motion, propelled by a cloud of steam that licked at his glistening body like it wanted to taste him. His hair was black, wet, curling and dripping in rivulets down the planes and valleys of his expansive chest and abs and narrow hips. He had that thing, the trough of muscle bracketing his hips that caught sluicing water and carried it in an angle that would eventually reach that unknown terrain beneath his towel. I saw the ghost of that terrain, the long, cylindrical bulge that was substantial enough to clearly state its presence, even through the thick towel. He smirked, dragging his hand through his wet hair. I salivated, watching droplets of water roll down his forearm and collect on the tip of his erotic elbow. “You’re up,” he said. I blinked, not knowing when I’d set my coffee down or how many minutes—hours? years?—had passed in the time I spent ogling his body. He sauntered into the room like he wasn’t basically naked. I tried unsuccessfully not to stare at his knees, the place where his ropy thigh connected, the angular muscles of his calves, the curve of his ankle, the broad pad of his foot. He was perfectly proportioned. Michelangelo would have carved him twenty feet tall, and women would have worshipped at his perfect feet. Gus bounced when he saw Tommy, his toys forgotten. And when Gus took off running, Tommy stopped, eyes widening and hands splayed in front of him. “Gus, no,” he commanded. To no one’s surprise, Gus did not listen. He barked once, snagged the hem of Tommy’s towel, and whipped it off him in a single tug that exposed every inch of skin on Thomas Bane’s ridiculous body. Thank God my coffee was already on the counter. I’d have gotten third-degree burns. For a split second, Tommy was frozen there in all his natural glory, poised to run after his dog, his face drawn and eyes locked on the sweet, disobedient dog. He wasn’t paying any attention to me. I, however, gave him my full and undivided consideration. His thighs were a mass of muscle so hard and defined, the tops were planes that came to a notch at his knee and a point where it met his hip. My eyes caught that trough that had before disappeared and followed it where it pointed—straight to the thatch of dark hair and the member nestled there. The very thick, very long, mostly limp member. If I stared at it a second longer, I was going to faint—my vision was already dim, my pulse pumping so hard, I could feel it in my neck, at the back of which a cold sweat had broken. But he shifted to run after Gus, who was galloping away, trailing the towel behind him. “Dammit, Gus! Gimme that!” Then it was the back of him I saw, his hair, the streaming water rolling down all the curves of his shoulders, his back, the valley of his spine, and down to the most perfect ass I’d ever seen in real life. Well, the only ass I’d ever seen in real life that wasn’t my own, and even that I couldn’t get a good look at without a mirror. Seriously, that ass. That perfectly sculpted ass, round and tight and curved in the sides, shifting from one side to the other as he ran after the damn dog. My gaze caught a tattoo on one ass cheek, and I squinted at it, trying to make it out. Tommy bent to snag the end of the towel—I caught sight of his sack and almost dissolved through the floor in an acidic puddle of embarrassment—but when he pulled, Gus spun around, ass in the air and tail wagging as he growled, pulling back. A string of obscenities left Tommy’s mouth, but I was still gaping and staring at his ass. I realized that I was laughing. It sounded like someone else in a different room. I wondered absently if this was how it felt to have a stroke.

There is a first time for everything...

The Red Lipstick Coalition girls are back!! Half of them are paired off and next up is the shy and wealthy Amelia. She can hardly go out in public without a shield to interact and talk for her. Now she's going to dive into public life headfirst! Hilarious, frustrating, with lots of awww moments. And now a bit about the story...

Thomas Bane is about to cause a scandal... again! His publisher can't handle another one and is about to drop him when he has a great idea. He'll turn his image around 100%. He'll marry the shy book blogger who has agreed to help him with his writers block. Now just how to convince her. But can they really be newlyweds in public and business partners behind closed doors???

Favorite passages:
- The best I could hope for was that I could survive the meeting without fainting , running away, or squeaking like a farmhouse door.
- “I love you, but you give terrible advice.” He meowed again, and if I spoke cat, I was pretty sure it would have translated to, Fuck you.
- “And it’s a scientific fact that men who smirk excel at cunnilingus.”
- “None of you know how pretty you are. It’s astounding really.” Val laughed and tucked into his side. “Must be nice to know how handsome you are.” He frowned. “That’s not what I mean. I don’t think I’m handsome.” All three of us made faces at him. He rolled his eyes. “I mean, I know I’m not hideous or anything, but I’m not… I don’t know. Entitled.”
- “Careful what you promise, Amelia.”
- “Because love isn’t perfect, but forgiveness is absolute.”

Hosed by Pippa Grant and Lili Valente *~*~*~*~* Release Boost & Review

Title: Hosed
Authors: Pippa Grant & Lili Valente
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Romantic Comedy
 Release Date: January 15, 2019

Blurb

The world's sexiest firefighter is about to get a second chance with the virgin next door…

He's bossy, arrogant, and so ridiculously hot he should come with a warning label and a pair of flame retardant coveralls.

He's also the boy who broke my heart when we were in high school.

I want to move in next door to Ryan O'Dell the way I want to be the virgin gamer geek suddenly in charge of running my sister's sex toy factory. Too bad both are written in my stars.

Yeah, I'm the world's oldest virgin code-writing nerd.

And he's the world's hottest firefighter.

And even though he intimidates the heck out of me, I can't seem to control my libido when he's around.

Where is my dignity? My self-respect? My panties?

Seriously…. Have you seen them? Anyone?

Maybe they're hiding in his bedroom. With my heart.

Yeah, I know. I'm hosed.

So hosed.

Hosed is a steamy, fun romantic comedy between a firefighter and the virgin nerd next door, complete with a pet raccoon, scandalous gossip, and dildo football. (No, really.) This romance has no cheating or cliffhangers, and ends with a banging hot happily ever after.

Hosed by Pippa Grant and Lili Valente
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fires, Dildos, and a pet raccoon, Oh My!

This is the most hilarious, stop reading to laugh out loud book I've read this year! Granted it is still early, but I would even say in the last year!!! It has a great cast of unusual characters: sexy fireman with a pet raccoon, sleazy ex husband who likes sheep too much, shy computer programmer turned sex toy factory operator, and so many more!!! I hope you enjoy this and laugh as much as I did! In addition to the humor there is also steamy sex scenes and a mystery to solve. And now a bit about the story...

Cassie's sister needed a break from life and asked her to come run her sex toy factory for her. Being the good person she is Cassie readily agreed. Even though she is extremely shy, oh and still a virgin. She's trying her best to get used to her new environment. Ryan is the hot fireman who slows up to the first fire. She remembers him from her high school crush. And here she is riding to work late on her sister's bicycle, complete with dildo handle bars! She can't stop blushing! Later after an encounter with a raccoon, George Clooney, wearing anal beads and chewing on penis suckers she learns Ryan is her neighbor. The three join forces to find the person sabotaging the factory.

Favorite passages:
- “I don’t think dildos have life goals, but I see your point.”
- If any of the town prudes hear that we’re spreading Satan’s sex juice all over innocent children’s sno-cones, we’ll get investigated by the health department.
- I’m a code squirrel who lurks in my cozy den until my portion of the project is complete before emerging to troubleshoot with the other squirrels.
- Fear never got me anywhere I want to be.
- “I’ll never be Team Sex Toy Factory, but I’m Team Cassie,”
- She inches toward me. “Are your humans safe?” “Of course. I trained them myself.” I puff out my chest. “They’ve had all their shots and they’re so docile, I even let them sleep in my bed with me.”

Note: I was given a free copy and voluntarily chose to review this book.

Pippa Grant

Pippa Grant is a stay-at-home mom and housewife who loves to escape into sexy, funny stories way more than she likes perpetually cleaning toothpaste out of sinks and off toilet handles. When she’s not reading, writing, sleeping, or trying to prepare her adorable demon spawn to be productive members of society, she’s fantasizing about chocolate chip cookies.

Lili Valente

Lili Valente has slept under the stars in Greece, eaten dinner at midnight with French men who couldn’t be trusted to keep their mouths on their food, and walked alone through Munich’s red light district after dark and lived to tell the tale.

These days you can find her writing in a tent beside the sea, drinking coconut water and thinking delightfully dirty thoughts.

There is no rule in the Man Code as unbreakable as this: no matter how beautiful, smart, clever, and witty she is, do not—under any circumstances—fall in love with your best friend’s woman. Yeah. So there’s that. Look, it’s not like I didn’t know I screwed up by falling for her. Also, for the record, unrequited love sucks big time. And, I might have cut myself some slack by now, given everything that went down in the last few years, but Lulu just walked back into my life in a big way. ***

There are three things I've never been able to resist—my friends, my family, and chocolate. Leo Hennessy? He was nowhere on that list. He's been a true friend—a friend who walked through hell and back with me. Now, I'm stepping into my new future. I didn't expect it to include a riddle-filled, race-against-the-clock scavenger hunt across New York City. With Leo. Suddenly, I'm looking at this man with new eyes... But my life spun out because of a man once before, and I can’t risk my fresh start, no matter what the temptation. And Leo is most definitely a temptation of the sexiest, sweetest, and most dangerous variety. More irresistibly delicious than chocolate...

Birthday Suit by Lauren Blakely
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

He's HOT in and out of his suits! But she's the only one cooking in only a chef coat!!!

Romance full of trivia and puzzles. Based mostly in New York City with characters working in the food industry. Take your time reading the brain teasers and try to solve them while you fall in love with the Heavenly team. And now a bit about the story...

Leo met Lulu first, but his best friend asked her out first. Which started the almost decade long love triangle, kind of. Lulu didn't know, but her eventual husband (said best friend) even knows. Now that they are both back in town and single things are hearing up. He's falling for her all over again and she's falling for him for the first time! Hopefully that won't be a problem... Maybe a naked chocolate fountain??

Favorite passages:
- Regret is a waste of time.
- Don’t get a tattoo that’s longer than your dick.
- “As I like to say, I never put anything in my mouth that I’ll regret later.”
- “How about those foot gloves with the rubber-covered toes?”

"Once again I am left dazzled by Ms. Blakely's words. Birthday Suit is a top notch romance loaded with sweetness, sexiness and heartwarming feels!! Nobody does romance quite like she does, her witty words and uniquely crafted characters are incomparable!"

EXCERPT

~LEO~
Let’s get one thing out of the way real fast. Regret is a waste of time. I don’t believe in it—never have, never will. I try to live my life without that useless emotion.
You know those articles where the journalist asks old people what they would have done differently, and they list all sorts of stuff—be a better friend, call your mom, tell the woman you love her? You don’t want to be that person.
There’s a simple way to avoid it.
Do the good shit now.
Say yes to that crazy job offer, ask out the girl who’s out of your league, climb the mountain and kiss the sky.
You’ll thank yourself later.
But the flip side of that kind of life is this: you need some rules. A few basic guidelines to follow to navigate the potholes.
Over the years I’ve assembled my top picks. Some from experience, some from listening to others.
Allow me to share my hard-won wisdom.
1.     If you have to sniff the food in your fridge to decide if you can eat it, just toss it. You’ll be glad you did tomorrow.
2.     You can tell everything you need to know about a person by how he or she treats the waiter.
3.     Turn down that last tequila shot. Trust me on this one.
4.     If your woman sends you to the store to pick up something, get that something, not another version you think is better. Her version is always the right one.
5.     You can’t put your foot in your mouth if it’s closed.
6.     No dude ever gets in trouble while cleaning the kitchen.
7.     Don’t live to work; work to live.
8.     If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.
9.     Don’t get a tattoo that’s longer than your dick.
10.  Men should never wear black jeans.
That’s my list and I’m sticking to it. Those mantras have served me well. They’ve made me the man I am today—successful, wise, and satisfied.
There’s one more though. An addendum, if you will. The postscript you need to achieve a life well-lived. This ought to be so damn easy that no one makes this mistake.
Gather close.
Write it down.
Follow this one to the motherfucking letter.
No matter what, don’t fall in love with your best friend’s girl.
Too bad that ship sailed long ago for me.
