“You can go fuck yourself!” The little tart blew up instantly. “You evil bastard, let me go!”

Crush is a man who enjoys performing to the stereotypical outlaw biker image. This time I could see he meant it, and so did the girl. She opened her mouth, spotted Crush’s cut and went very quiet.

“You can’t have her. She’s my collateral.” I pulled her towards me, snapped through her ankle ties with the box cutter and threw her over my shoulder. She muttered furiously, but she’d stopped fighting. I could feel her raise her head and look over the crowd of gathering Disciples. She shivered and went limp. I guess she didn’t like the look of the party.

Crush was still curious. “Collateral for what?”

“Alistair’s man took my Busa.”

“You’re shitting me!”

Quick, suspenseful romance about a woman made strong by her past. Lots of ex-military muscle, the mob, and two bounty hunters trying to find their skip before the mob can kill him and send him to live with the fishes. And now a bit about the story...

Kelli and Mitch have grown up together and now both 16 are falling in love, until disaster hits. Mitch is held up by his parents and the girl, Penny, they want him to choose. He asks his brother to let Kelli know he will be late. Unfortunately, his brother is an ass and delivers a totally different message - after beating on her and trying to rape her she gets away just in time to see Mitch kiss Penny. Kelli leaves the ranch that day to start a new stronger life for herself and she is doing great, until 10 years later when Mitch is sent to rescue her.

Her grandmother lived to see N's name in print. This was a turning moment for her. Hound Dog- Vol. 4 The Savannah Rossi Chronicles

Wow! To start I was warned it was "dark and twisty" by the author when requesting a review. Dark and twisty always sounds like a good-time to me, and I was not let down! I would also add; explosive and intense.

Have you ever wondered how you would react if forced to work with an old flame, one who took your innocence and broke your heart? Savannah and Jax rub eachother wrong right from the start, but quickly compose so that neither of them look unprofessional. Luckily, they have had others around to act as buffers. That is, until one day they are made to work alone. An intense (there's that word) argument between the two leads to some regrettable actions and subsequently the two part ways. Not on the best terms... again. BUT just when you think it SHOULD be over between Sav and Jax, a little B&E flips the story over and rubbing eachother wrong turns into rubbing eachother right, yet still wrong. LOL You have to read it!

If I had one complaint, twist my arm, it might be that I really thought mega-producer, Greg was going to play a bigger role in the end. He seemed set up to steal the lead heart-throb, but maybe in future installments we will see him more!

In the end I am so torn by how HOT this relationship was, very vivid and exciting sex scenes, but also by how- I don't want to say 'abusive' it was- I didn't get the sense it was abusive in nature. Just intense (YES, again) and that is true-to-life for some. Makes for hot sex scenes, that is for sure ;)
