IT's getting HOT in here!
Loved this faced paced romantic suspense. It had great comedy, lots of shooting, and a hot couple. She gets herself into some crazy situations, but seems to find her way out - with and without others help. I enjoyed this story and hope you will too!
Candace has just finished the police academy and her first assignment is undercover as "Candy" a stripper working for the Sirocco family. It is time to meet up with her handle, but instead of Hanson sitting at the normal table, there is an IT geek sitting there. As she wonders how he ins't embarrassed to be there, she notices he is a lot hotter than the average geek. He look way better than Paulie, the son of the Sirocco family she has wormed her way into. Dominic, the geek boy, tells her Hanson is a friend of his and has been abducted. He's not sure what to do. Candace is having a hard time believing this guy, but she knows there are cops on the Sirocco family, what is she to do next? She doesn't want to spend another night with Paulie!
Favorite passages:
- Damn, if this is what geeks grow up to look like, I wish I had been nicer to the kids at school.
- “Well, first of all, Windows XP sucks and you should probably upgrade to Windows 8 or downgrade to Windows 7.” Sighing to myself, I feel like a complete tool. The fact that I actually have to do this work while undercover instead of pretending just makes things worse. I hate it. Thankfully, one of the Federal IT guys is in my ear, getting a hard on telling me what to say.
- This man certainly knows what he’s doing in bed. Wonder if he learned it from a game.
N Kuhn grew up in a small town in Western New York. Having spent her afternoons outside or with a book, she grew up with a love of reading and writing. Her mother and grandmother fully encouraged this in her. Many years later, after a husband and children, she made a promise to her dying grandmother to fulfill her dream of being an author. Her grandmother lived to see N's name in print. This was a turning moment for her. Driven by ambition and a promise made, she has since published several titles including the Mohawk Trilogy, Tucked In, Buffalo Rocker and the Tricks series.
N Kuhn has several other books that will be out later this year. When she's not writing, she runs her blog, bartends and promotes for other authors. Family and coffee are her two staples in life.
