Cassie (Mitchell-Healy Cousins #7) by Jennifer Foor
SYNOPSIS:
My name is Cassie Healy. I'm twenty-two years old and I've
had to sneak around to be able to have a relationship with the man I love
because of my overbearing parents.
So what if Brantley Moxin has a criminal record? He's who I
chose to be with.
Leaving town was our only option. One night we packed up a
few things and hit the road, bound for a new chance at a future together.
I thought it was going to be beautiful; something my parents
would come to appreciate after time. Instead I've been thrown into a life I
wouldn't wish on anyone. Now I have nowhere to go - a family obviously ashamed
of what I've done.
This is my mess to clean up, and I'm afraid I'm in too deep
for that to happen.

I HEART BOOKS REVIEW
Cassie (Mitchell-Healy Cousins #7) by Jennifer Foor
Review by Theresa Esterline
Review by Theresa Esterline
Stars: 5
Unique and yet another outstanding book!
This is the first book by Jenn I started where I didn't like the leading man. Even cheating cocky Ty (from the Mitchell's book #1) had my heart from the beginning... But then about one third in I figured there were two leading men, the bad boy and the good. I was frustrated, excited, sad, happy, tearful, and laughing out loud!! And now a bit about the story...
Cassie has left home for the love of her life, Brant. Her parents, Conner and Amy, do not approve of him -- after all a criminal is not right for their daughter. Brant had promised her a better life, but the grass isn't always greener on the other side. After stealing, getting high, and lid e only knows what else, Agent Logan Campbell arrests Cassie. She has so many regrets, will she ever be able to fix this mess and go home again?
Favorite passages:
- I regretted our last moments together, and I wouldn’t blame her if she never wanted to see me again.
- “Help yourself. I have no idea why I keep them. It’s not like I reread. There’s too much out there to explore.”
- It was my house, and I wasn’t going to pretend to be someone else just to appease someone. If they didn’t like the real me, they weren’t worth my time.
- “There’s nothing wrong with a woman who enjoys a big piece of meat.”
