Stars: 5
This is two contemporary romance short stories in one book. They both can be read as stand alones, but I am wondering what their pasts were like, it seems they were the ones everyone wanted to hate. I recommend these for young adults due to the sexual content. In the first book we have Lena who is a woman who has been through so much strife. And people are so fast to believe rumors. Goes to show even adults have bullies. In the end, her knight in camo shows her what true love is. In the second story we have Colt. He just learned he has a son, and he has several years to make up for. He is a county singer that has everything that life can offer, but he is not content. Going home for a break, he may find what he has been searching for.
Lena McCoy learns she made a mistake by not taking Garrett Johnson's marriage proposal seriously. Maybe her life would have turn out differently. She has been let down and treated badly by everyone close to her. Walls are built and to heck with all the gossip surrounding her. But when is enough.... enough? People push the limits and thankfully Lena has a friend who will not give up on her or them.
Colt Cavanaugh is a famous county singer. He has a son whom unfortunately he never knew about, until recently. Who did Nora Johnson think she was to have kept his child away from him? He has missed so many years with Drew, he is determined to make up for lost time. Colt's life it so hectic and all he wants is to breathe. He has so much to think about and he decides he will go home for a much needed break. To his surprise home is where he finds his heart.
