BOOK SYNOPSIS –
It all started with a song. Roxana Nights was late to another gig, thanks to her first love, and drummer. It’s been years since she left Jordan, but he won’t let her go. Then she hears a voice that pulls her under a spell and changes her whole world. Trevor Malone just moved to Seattle with his band. Music is his only passion, until he lays eyes on Roxana. He’s never felt anything as strong as the pull to her. Now he needs to find a way to introduce her to his world. There’s only one problem. A rival clan won’t rest until they've taken Trevor’s down. Unwilling to let old grudges die, they target Roxy. Trevor will do anything to keep her safe. Roxy will find that the world she writes is closer to reality than she ever imagined. She’ll also learn that not all monsters are evil, though some are ruthless. Will love stay strong when the past comes out? Can they survive the centuries old vendetta?

She slipped past him, and onto the wings of the stage. Her gaze fell on Mr. Voice who was tall, dark and smokin’ hot.
Holy shit, I want to lick him.
Scuffed combat boots were laced up over black leather pants that clung to muscular thighs, and his black shirt molded to the most impressive set of abs she had ever seen. Roxy wanted to trace the ridges with her fingertips.
He turned, his voice dropping low as his eyes locked on hers. His words enveloped her. “… you’re the only one.”
Her heart paused a beat before slamming into her chest at a rapid pace. His full mouth lifted into a grin that spoke of confidence as he held her full attention. Entranced, she fell deep into his eyes and the world stopped.
Until a drumstick hit him in the head. He looked over his shoulder and shrugged sheepishly at his drummer before turning back to launch into the next verse.
Mikey gently shook her shoulder. “Hey, Rox, come on. We have to warm up.”
Her head bobbed in a nod at her brother, but she didn't look over. She muttered, “Yeah, give me a minute,” or longer.
As if he heard, Mr. Voice glanced over and winked at her before the next song started. “Blinded by beauty, falling at first sight, head over heels…” There was raw passion in his voice, and she couldn't help wishing he was singing about her.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW:
Q: Where do you get your ideas?
A: Honestly, I’m not sure. They just spring up when I’m doing whatever.
Q: You make the imaginary seem real and get us fully engaged... how do you do it?
A: I like the idea that there is another layer of our world that we either can’t or choose not to see. Sometimes it’s fun to wonder what if the person next to you isn’t quite what they seem, but something more, something interesting.
Q: Have you always written?
A: Pretty much. I won a young authors contest in first grade. I know, that doesn’t mean much, but I’ve always liked telling stories. I had a few friends I would see how bad I could scare with my stories. So maybe I was always a tad twisted.
Q: Do you have another day job?
A: Mom to three awesome kids.
Q: Tell us about a typical day in your life when you are writing...
A: Get the kids ready for school and take them. Come home and write, and attempt to do a little cleaning in between here and there, then write more. Mostly, I wind up doing more writing than cleaning. I fit in coffee guzzling and eating. Then pick monkeys up from school. Go back to writing or help kiddos with homework, or goof off with them. I multitask pretty well so sometimes all of the above. Once they are in bed, I usually watch something with my husband then go back to writing.
CHARACTER INTERVIEW:
Q for Roxy: What first went thru your mind when you found out Trevor was a wolf?
A: By the time I processed that he was a wolf, I realized I was a wolf and I wasn’t so freaked out. I let my other half take over and went with it. There was just so much going on that worrying about what we were didn’t seem like such a big deal.
Q for Trevor: How did you keep Roxy calm and not run off on you?
A: Shit, I didn’t have to. She just accepted everything and blew my mind. She kept telling me she was okay with it, and I was the one having a hard time believing it.
Q for Roxy: Did you ever think you may have powers?
A: Honestly, not until Fiona started showing me what to do. I write about that sort of stuff and never guessed.
Q for Trevor: Very sorry to hear about your sister, do you have to hunt every year on your birthday and the day she died?
A: No. This year just happened to fall on the full moon and the anniversary. There was no choice but to shift.
Q for Jordon: Now that you have embraced your demon, what are you doing with the rest of your life?
A: Make up for being such an ass. Move on, and try to figure out where I’m going. I just don’t know yet.

How do you embrace a whole new world that's been hidden from you your whole life???
Great start to the Others of Edenton spin-off! Good versus evil is at war again... this time with an extremely strong heroine who is just coming into her powers. There are unexpected twists and turns, but she handles everything like a trooper. The hero is at war with himself... trying to tell her all about him without scarring her off and holding back at the same time. His hot and cold behavior almost costs him dearly. And now a bit about the story...
Roxy is the lead singer of Nights Embrace, she is getting ready for their set when she hears the most amazing voice. She is drawn to the man on stage like never before, even though she has sworn off men since she called it quits with Jordan, their drummer. They stare at each other during their performances, but Trevor, the lead singer of Lunar Storm is pulled out of the bar before they can talk. Roxy is disappointed ... but not for long, Trevor literally tracks her down in the morning at her favorite coffee shop. The two are inseparable after that... only one thing pulls them apart and it almost kills Roxy...
I think you'll love her response to that night as much as I did! My favorite scene is still the poker party, maybe from reading it as a teaser...
Favorite passages:
- "I don't think anyone has ever looked at me the way you do. Like you truly see me, all of me."
- "She deserves to be happy, and you proved, time after time, that you are only capable of making her miserable."
- "My notebooks are my worst stuff. Those are completely unedited, just pure thought." His smile was wicked, his voice a purr. "A peek into your wants and dreams."
- "Little old for nocturnal emissions, aren't you, Jordan?"
- "Damn, he got lucky. Hot, talented and smart."
- "Please trust me, Roxy. You need to shift. I can't lose you. I won't survive it."
