Synopsis
My name is Tate. And all my life I have kept secrets. The type of secrets that haunt your dreams at night. I wake up hating the world, and I go to sleep knowing that the memories of my past will visit me-reminding me that I once was weak and a coward. I'll never be that person again.
But there is one person who has made me think there may be more to life than hatred and revenge. Missy fills me with hope. But hope is what makes you weak, makes you think you can be better, and it's a lie.
A man like me deserves to be alone forever because one day, I will come face to face with my past, and I will destroy it. Even if that means destroying myself in the process.
But what I didn't know was that she has nightmares of her own-because of me. For the first time in my life, I want to save someone. But how can I save her when I can't even save myself?

I HEART BOOKS REVIEW
Review by Jennifer Ballam
Stars: 5
Well what can I say. I fell in love with Slade, and begrudgingly Sam, but after reading this I have to say Slade who! Tate is now my new book boyfriend.
Missy we have seen grow throughout the books and in this we get a look at what she thinks and feels, and oh boy will you fall in love with her. How she handles Tate has me getting my cheerleading kit out (my imaginary one anyway) and yelling go girl! One thing that I didn’t like was how she used Braxton. I’d have liked this to have been gone into in more depth. All I’ll say is that I get why she leaned on him but she even admits to herself that it’s wrong but continues to do so.
Tate on the other hand is fighting his own demons, and nasty demons they are too. Due to his past he does not believe in love, when someone says they love you enough times but leave you in pain it is a hard thing to believe. The feelings that he has for Missy scare him, can he trust himself and Missy enough to let him in.
The story moves along at a fantastic pace and you certainly do not have to have read the others in the series to read this, though I would highly recommend reading them as they are fantastic!! This is a true stand alone and any references to events in previous books are quickly and well explained. We get to see how Slade and Sam are getting along too which is an added bonus to a great story.
I love this author and her books are getting better each one. I cannot wait to see what she releases next.
